LMT excludes POI updates - useless & misleading

Sean D., Newegg
13 November 2014
  • Pros: I'd give it a zero if I could - piece of lifetime garbage
  • Cons: The Garmin (and others?) rip off with the so called lifetime maps is that does not include updates for the POIs, which are pricy. Very misleading as the POIs change faster than the roads. Also the Garmin software that I have gives the most idiotic routings imaginable.

Glen S., Newegg

  • Pros: Fast Shipping, but required signature confirmation Via USPS
  • Cons: Ordered New Nuvi 2595LMT Received Remanufactured Nuvi 2595LM Wrong model and was obviously a remanufactured set. Requested RMA and Refund.

  • Summary: I replaced the battery in my Garmin nuvi 2595 GPS by one from Innovate88.com , but it lasted 3 days. Now it is dead and my GPS does not work even plugged in. Where can I buy a normal long lasting battery? Thanks.

  • Summary: When I connected it to my computer to register it with Garmin it was not recognized. I called Garmin and they could not help me to get it registered. I had to send it to Garmin for repair. Returning it to the store is not an option since Walmart does not carry refurbished items. I will wait and see if Garmin can fix the problem.

  • Summary: Right out of the box unit looked impressive. When I did a test drive, I noticed distance error of 80 to 140 feet at turn. When I am zero feet from turn which mean I have to turn, GPS showed about 100 feet remaining. When I called Garmin, I was told that you download maps and software, it will improve. Well it did not. GPS volume if adjusted for normal hearing, it is too low for incoming phone to listen. If kept at maximum to listen to phone then it is too loud for GPS.
