My cheaper tom tom is much better.
TOM C., Amazon
26 February 2015
Summary: It is very slow it tells you when to turn after the street and loses signal all the time. We used it in Minneapolis ,Dallas and San Antonio wish I had not trown away the packaging or I would have returned it. My cheaper tom tom is much better.
Summary: Three main issues, as others have reported. 1) Voice search does not function.. Accepts menu commands, then at the address entry it fails. Comically. More than one hundred attempts, tried to "train it", etc. Fail. 2) Basic address search?
Pros: I'd give it a zero if I could - piece of lifetime garbage
Cons: The Garmin (and others?) rip off with the so called lifetime maps is that does not include updates for the POIs, which are pricy. Very misleading as the POIs change faster than the roads. Also the Garmin software that I have gives the most idiotic routings imaginable.
Summary: I'm having a problem with it. After a few min. the screen gose black, so you have to turn it off and on for it to work. I went on the web site could not find a way to get a return for exchange approval. So I am not happy with this unit.
Summary: When I connected it to my computer to register it with Garmin it was not recognized. I called Garmin and they could not help me to get it registered. I had to send it to Garmin for repair. Returning it to the store is not an option since Walmart does not carry refurbished items.
