Excerpt: The Sat Nav itself is very good and friendly. I had difficulty downloading the required maps and software. The software which does this took a long time and never actually said that it had finished doing the job.
Excerpt: Purchased this due to an imminent trip to the States so can't yet comment on it's full performance. However there is a "simulated" option available so on the face of it every function seems to be operating. I must say that I have had excellent product support from Garmin UK (I had to contact them to find out how to simulate a journey and test the split screen function). Here's hoping that the system operates 100% when on holiday.
Excerpt: Like the look of it nice and slim not bulky like the old sat navs Clear instructions. So far so good however the only niggle we've had was going to the Metro centre when it didn't tell us the correct lane to get in to Ikea but knowing the Metro centre that's not suprising. Haven't used it yet for America so can't comment on using it there.
Summary: Bought this to replace a NUVI 370 that still works great but the maps are outdated. It was cheaper to get this new model than get a full map update on the 370. It's better in all ways - better display, better maps, better attachment, and full time traffic. Subtract 1 star due to a finicky voice interface, like SIRI, and no lifetime map option for the dual map models.
Pros: Large screen. Great map displays, especially on complicated interstate interchanges. Nice Bluetooth connection to cell phone.
Summary: This was a Xmas gift for my wife. We just opened on Xmas day and used a few times until today. No issues so far. I connected to Garmin Express and downloaded the latest software and latest maps. The download and installation took almost 3 hours, but there was no issues during the process. I tested the Voice Command feature and it is working OK. Sometimes it does not recognize the address I speak, maybe because of my foreign accent.
Pros: Voice command is a great feature and avoid you to deviate attention from the road. Fast reception and route calculation. Easy process to update map and software when connected to Garmin Express.
Excellent product we have within days of getting it

Summary: Excellent product we have within days of getting it , we were usuing in the USA, then in Uk and a few weeks later on the continent. My only critism is that when we driving in France there was a major road closure and we found it veryy difficult to get it to give and alternative route.
The split screen showing which lane to be in approaching junctions is useful too. Also explains road names and junction numbers

Summary: Only used installed sat navs in vehicles before. Installation of maps dis take time but the US is a big country. Have since done some upgdated with not hassle. Just connect to PC with USB cable. My only gripe is with some of the directions. " turn right & take next exit" to me literally means that. Ended up taking a number of wrong turns but keep eye on the map if in doubt. The split screen showing which lane to be in approaching junctions is useful too.
Summary: This is an excellent device which worked well straight from the box; it was very good on this, my first visit to the Eastern USA, and apart from one small hiccup deep in the rural Catskills, took me just where I needed to go with reasonable facility of menus etc. My only quibble really is with its mounting method; there is a disc shaped recess on the rear of the receiver into which clips a small plastic device which in turn attaches to a ball mount attached to the screen...
