Good GPS with Europe and US maps but with no maps free updates

Summary: I have used the Garmin 2577LT for sometime, it is a good GPS but lacks the free Map updates and the streets speed limits. The newer Garmin GPSs have the side streets speed limits posted in the GPS but for the Garmin 2577LT, the street speed limits are posted only for the main roads.
Excerpt: I like this model as it has exactly what i'm looking for. I purchased this item as I needed a Bluetooth connection for my car and I was also spending time in North America and this combined the two. Easy to use and sound quality is very good on the Bluetooth connection.
Excerpt: The Sat Nav itself is very good and friendly. I had difficulty downloading the required maps and software. The software which does this took a long time and never actually said that it had finished doing the job.
Summary: I purchased this unit for a European Trip; since I already had the 2557, I assumed the 2577 would be more than adequate. I was incorrect. On several occasions the icon would not even track on the road; inaccurate directions occurred about 50% of the time.
Pros: Typical decent Garmin interface. Crutchfield is, as usual, a pleasure to deal with and will pay for return shipping.
