Excerpt: I wanted a larger screen and got it. I wanted to be able to download all saved addresses from old Nuvi and got it. I wanted an easier format in entering and saving new addresses, changing volume and other items and haven't found them yet. This Nuvi is not intuitive, has a lot of new symbols which I find confusing, and has a poor internal help function. However, if you go online and download the manual, a lot of searching will probably answer your questions.
Excerpt: Love the lifetime map updates and traffic. Love the lane assist for exits, most look like an actual picture of the road. Disappointed it seems to take a longer time to connect with the satellite, my older Garmin connected much faster. I saw previous reviewers complain about putting in an address and not having option of putting in the State and I found you can by hitting the add additional information option.
Excerpt: Bought it b/c of lifetime maps and traffic - a bit confusing to operate - not as user friendly as previous models. okay for price - got it on sale and had staples rewards plus staples gift card...
Excerpt: I purchased this GPS to outfit a new Company Car and chose this particular model because of its Traffic Reporting capabilities, Lifetime Maps and great screen resolution! Bonus...the optional voices I acquired when I downloaded the initial updates. When you travel alone about 1,000 miles a week...you need a distraction. I wasn't disappointed at all.
Excerpt: The updates are great but they took forever to download. The voices are unusual- one doesn't give street names and the other sounds robotic- not smooth at all. I like the view of the intersections. It helps to know which lane to be in ahead of time but not all multi-lane intersections are included. Overall an easy learning curve for use.
Excerpt: Sadly, I though that with the latest updates will be good to go. To my surprice the maps has not been up to date with the lates changes in downtown Columbus OH, it gave me wrong direction in a few occasion, not fun to have to go around in order to go where I needed to. Hope soon Garmin will do the updates.
Excerpt: Hi I am the Grandma that DRIVES everywhere and makes the grandchildren be the copilots. They all know how to read real maps now from my big mapbook and plan a rout. I bought this Garmin and they are showing me how to use it. I do like the fact that if I decide to take a different route because of road patching it recalculates the route it suggested and still gets me to where I want to go. I have not been in a lot of traffic to know how that works yet..
Pros: Acquires Satellites Quickly, Compact, Easy Menus, Easy To Read, Large Screen, Screen Dims For Night, Screen Does Not Reflect L
Excerpt: I have only had this GPS for a couple of weeks, so I may still be on the learning curve. My history of GPS brands have been Garmin-Garmin-Tom Tom- Garmin. I purchased this model because I wanted to have Lifetime Maps and Traffic. My previous - Tom Tom - suggested a different route if there was traffic, a nice feature that I miss.
