Summary: This is a great GPS cosmetically. But functionality-wise the maps need to be updated. Its stuck in the past. If I type in a place to go it finds it and brings me to its OLD location. so I guess its picking up where locations were whenever its maps were made. My only issue. But as far as long distance travel, express ways are the same. It gets me where I need to go.
Summary: Pretty easy to use, great display and color. It has trouble with pinpointing some addresses and doesn't always take the shortest or fastest route. If I had it to do over again, I'd pay a little more and get something better.
Summary: I've had good luck with Garmin units, just bought a 265T to replace a 275T stolen from the car. The problem with the 250W is that it should be an $80 unit in today's market, Amazon has a regular price of $200 on it. Why not buy a 255W, or 265W instead, probably adding traffic (255WT or 265WT). Much better deal currently.
Summary: I have a Nuvi 360 at work. The 360 has many more features such as different languages. Important features on the 360 not on the 250 includes searches by inputting names, or categories, such as "fast food". The 360 has a folding antenna which seems to pick up satellites much quicker than the 250. 250 does have a bigger screen.
Summary: We've owned this GPS since 2007 and have found it to be a fairly reliable basic unit. With any GPS, my requirements are for reliable GPS-oriented features and not lots of bells and whistles that I'll probably never use. Our 250W boots up very quickly and we've never had it freeze up on us.
Summary: I don't believe that I order this from Amazon but I use this version of GPS at my work. I trust Garmin over all other GPS in the market today. I have two Garmins that I use on a daily bases and I havn't gotten lost yet.
Summary: The first Garmin 250W I received was a lemon. It would not hold an accurate position on the map, the direction of travel and speed of travel would vary widely even while stopped. The assistance provided by Garmin customer support was helpful, but could not fix it. Buy Accessories assisted me through the return process and quickly sent me another 250W. This second one has worked OK, but just OK.
Great features for the price, but maps leave alot to be desired.

Summary: Bang for the buck = 9 stars. The included features for the low price tag are a great buy. Bought this item to replace my c330. I'm glad I did, but... Maps and trip routing = 5 stars. The mapping software suffers from the following flaws: a) There are many addresses in the database which actually don't exist; b) There are addresses which are at the wrong place on the map; c) The route planner will sometimes give screwy, out-of-the-way directions (no, I don't have...
Summary: I purchased my 250W a couple months ago. In several occasion the GPS device failed to acquire signal within a few minutes. There were a few times when it took up to 15 minutes for it to find signal, even under clear sky outdoor. Once the signal is acquired, it is always 4/5 bars and very stable, which only makes the problem to find signal even more baffling. It was really annoying at times because it essentially forced me to "warm up" the unit before I start driving.
