Summary: I had an older model which this replaced. I love all of the new features I've used so far - especially the pedestrian mode which came in very handy on a recent trip to San Francisco. The split screen showing junctions on major roadways reduces much of the stress while driving multi-lane busy highways. I find it just as easy to use as the older model even though it has so many additional features. I highly recommend this product.
Summary: I had to replace my Garmin, as it fell and cracked. This one is wonderful. It has blue tooth, split screens and I would recommend this for anyone. The casual driver or someone who drives alot for work or play.
Summary: This thing is pretty useful. Voice activation. Live traffic is very helpfull. Directions are accurate and easy to understand and the split screen visual map display is nice to have when 4 So. Cal's freeways converge.
Summary: My car..excellent bran... came with a built-in GPS system. I had used Garmin's in the past, but I thought I would to avoid using the cords and having one built in would nice. Well, my old Garmin was so far superior in ease of use and the logic in providing directions that I went and bought this new unit. I cannot think of a better endorsement.
I'm very happy with it. I'd give it a 4.5 to 5 star rating.

Summary: Overall I'm very pleased with the Garmin GPS. I especially like the fact that I can use voice commands to interface with it. That's very convenient when you're in traveling down the highway. There is one thing for which I am going to have to contact customer support. One area of the touch screen is not working correctly and it takes a very careful selection to get the proper characters entered into the address field.
Summary: Bought this for my parents as a Christmas gift. They love it, and especially the voice recognition function. It's much safer due to not having to type in the address and being able to just speak it.
Summary: I almost didn't buy this due to reviews talking about ads during traffic screen. There are no ADs! This unit is fast when you press on things on the screen. You don't have to wait for the next item to open. Try it out in an actual store to compare between Tom Tom and Garmin. I compared a similar priced Tom Tom in a Best Buy. Garmin's screen is better and quicker to navigate options. The lag you find in other manufactures will drive you crazy.
