Summary: Very easy in use. I connetted to my Garmin and was activated Numap lifetime and it was uptaded to the last release of maps and software. I will use it in my next holiday in US, but I think to buy the map for Europe too to continue to use in my country.
Summary: The Garmin 2496LMT is an outstanding product and well worth the price. The aspect of the product I like the most is that it gets you to your final destination in an efficient manner and doesn't have you going down every side street like gps devices I have had before.
Summary: Took my first long trip into unknown territory with the product and it performed well. I'm still learning the features, most notably I haven't figured out how to access/use the traffic information. I haven't figured out how to cancel an intermediate stop along my main route without cancelling the main route too. I don't know if there is a way. Voice interface is very handy to use, both before departing and especially while driving.
Summary: Issues: Computer sees Nuvi when it's attached with the usp cable, but neither basecamp nor map source saw the unit. This took several phone calls to Garmin customer support. The first call took 35 minutes before I got someone on the line, then another 2 hrs+ to get Basecamp to recognize my unit. After all that, the routing is still a mess. The route gets converted to lots of waypoints along your intended route.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for an older Garmin nuvi that needed an update, which would have cost $70. I decided to buy a this GPS with it's lifetime updates. Unfortunately Garmin's new view setup left little room for actual the map. I sent it back and ordered a 5 inch nuvi which it just used for camping trip to Lake Michigan in Muskegon. It worked great, with a few glitches as is the case with all GPS's I'm thinking. It gave different directions for the same route.
Summary: Easy to use, I really like the voice command feature. The Bluetooth is my only complaint so far, I have not been able to find a way of increasing the volume of the phone feature, and it does not have sufficient volume to talk comfortably. We will be using it for a 1800 mile trip next week, so I will be better able to evaluate it after the trip.
Very good product: 2495, but general Garmin issues prevail

Summary: This is my 4th. GPS. 1st: Navigon, status: stolen. 2nd.: iGo: status: broken 3rd. Tomtom: status: alive but display severely scratched. As such, I have seen most. What stands out for Garmin in general is its routing engine and acquiring satellites. In this model: extremely fast and darn accurate. Voice is clear but I am seeing certain road names, etc. broken words surfacing. All my other GPS did not suffer from this. Voice commands: pretty accurate and really good.
