Summary: Two-and-a-half stars. At over $200, I really wanted to like it. It does look good; it is small, lightweight, and easy to carry; it has good battery life; and when it works it performs its functions adequately. I purchased this product for use in walking the streets of Paris and London on a recent trip to Europe.

Summary: I took this model to France and was severely disappointed with its performance especially when traveling in the southwest region. Whenever driving in a medieval town, this GPS would send me in circles, it could not figure out the street layout. On the way back to Paris from Sarlat, I tried to enter Orly airport as my destination, the GPS could not locate it. I tried many combinations of Orly, no luck. Finally, when I was <2 hours away from Orly, it was able to locate it.
Summary: I've been a long time customer of Garmin and have loved their intuitive, easy to operate interface. This NUVI 2475 is a whole new story, Garmin has invented unintuitive, it's so unique in that area that they probably can get a patent on it. You will have to get out the users manual to figure out how to use even the most common features and if you don't use the device for a while you will have to get out the manual again, that's how bad it is.
Summary: I have had my Garmin with the European maps for almost 3 months, it was awesome to use and very helpful with the lane assist feature, especially for use in UK. Yesterday I was using the Garmin on a road trip, I turned it off when I reached my destination, came back to car and tried to switch it back on and nothing. It has not been dropped and battery was 3/4 charged when I turned it off.
Summary: Purchased the 2475lt unit because it covers Europe and does so extensively, including major parts of eastern Europe. The problem is that the product is inherently dysfunctional in that any data update (you have 90 days from initial use to get a free map update) is an ordeal because the unit's memory capacity is insufficient...and requires additional storage (not provided by Garmin), requiring division of the data between that which is in the unit's memory vs.
