Summary: I purchased this item Jan 8 2012. And about 3 weeks ago it just died. Won't charge in the car. Won't charge via USB. And totally unrecognizable by Garmin online when I tried to connect it and troubleshoot. Soft reboot didn't work.

The problem is that the product is inherently dysfunctional in that any data update (you have 90 days from initial use to get a free map update) is an ordeal because the unit's memory...
Summary: I bought this unit (2455LMT) as an upgrade for my old Garmin nuvi because the Garmin support told me the new series has much better traffic. I checked the coverage and on my route to work (287/Tapanzee bridge) was shown as complete coverage.
