Summary: I bought this item for a trip to Chicago, it worked very well on the open road, and if we missed a turn it would get us on a path to be back on track. My only problem was when I was in Chicago something made it useless the device would loss connection to GPS then recalculate or shut off, I am guessing the builds caused interference, or possibly signals from other electronic devised. If it were not for a store that had a phone book with map in it I may still be 500 miles...
Summary: In general this GPS navigator is really good . It has good acuracy , really great battery life and the price is decent too. I used it in big cities as well as in rural area , and in both cases it gave me the shortest route. It has a lot of additional features , wich is great. Lane assist is awesome. This is a perfect price/value ratio. I vould recoment it to everybody.
Garmin has never routed me to a strange place. And is very user friendly.

Summary: This is my second Garmin my Daughter uses this one and loves it. The lifetime maps is a plus and she is always using the traffic updates to get her around in the DC area. Garmin is a great GPS.
Summary: this is my first gps. i haven't used it much yet, but the few times i have it has been a life saver. the lane assist is much needed in an area where highways split and you need to be on one side or the other to stay on course. i love having the verbal instructions so i don't have to take my eyes off the road. another thing i like about this is that the gps shows which way you will be turning as soon as you enter a new road giving advance notification.
Summary: I did not have to read the book to find out how to make it work ! Means it is user friendly ! I love GPSes . I used a 50,000 dollar one in the flying that i did , flying all over the USA doing aerial mapping.
Summary: Probably the most un-friendly user interface you'll ever try: Saving a destination is a nightmare, and that is, if you can find how to do it. No Zip search, but the Autofill will test your patience and sanity: You have to try it to believe it! The search will also propose all locations in your surrounding states: Looking for "Main Street" will give you 400 possibilities. Then comes the Autofill... I am in MA, so you try to refine your search and type "MA".
Pros: turns on fast
Cons: no zip search stupid autofill very bad route choice no "easy" save
Summary: I pick up cars for a local dealer and needed a current mapping guide , it is my 3rd Garmin although not the most expensive model it does a good job. Listed as a refurbished unit,it does not appear to have ever been used which saved me about 40% off retail. On the down side, the on / off switch is right where you hold it for programing causing it to inadvertently get turned off a few times.
