Summary: I bought this as it was on offer. I bought it purely to replace my old Garmin which I was very happy with. The only reason I decided to upgrade was because I know newer ones are a lot faster in finding satelites. The battery in my old was was also pretty shot. I could no longer get map updates for it without paying for them which I wasn't impressed with.
Summary: I have kept with portable satnavs when changing cars as the factory fitted ones are so expensive. This Garmin satnav does all I need of it. Pronunciation of some of the street names is a bit odd but this is a minor quarrel. Pictures of junctions are OK but I think good lane plans and directions are more helpful.
Summary: I will start by saying this is my 3rd garmin sat nav as I like to upgrade them more than often. I really like this upgrade. The touchscreen has had much improvements and is much easier to use than to older models. It's a great size to see whilst driving and not to big that it gets distracting. Garmins are very user friendly and are just a ease to use and makes life simple without the stress of trying to find where to go using a map!!
Summary: This has to be the best technical product I have bought in a very long time...I love it!!! I resisted getting a sat nav for ages saying I didnt need it and used an atlas. However, I was always getting lost, the garmin is spot on, easy to use and to my delight it means I can also look up my contacts and phone them as it links itself to my mobile. If you want a sat nav, get this one, its brilliant!
Summary: Bought this as a present so don't have that much experience of it - but drove around Purbeck with the gift recipient using it and it did exactly what you might hope a Sat Nav would do without fuss.
Summary: I am happy enough with the maps and voices, and it is quite clear and easy to use. The split screen is handy for choosing lanes on motorways. Down side is the nobody seems to be able to hear me when I answer a call using the hands free Bluetooth.
Summary: Cheap & cheerful SatNav which only covers UK (which is all I wanted anyway). It's the third I've had, and is no better or worse than the previous two: just a bit different. However, my previous one, also a Garmin, died after less than two years - and the first symptom that there was anything wrong with that one was that the voice became a bit distorted... and the voice on this one has sounded slightly croaky from the outset!
