Summary: Very good! Easier to view than previous models we've had. Very helpful on the road but these devices always seem to catch the glare of the sun and become hard to see. The updates aren't all that great; it must be hard to keep up with all the highway and by-pass changes. Another bothersome thing: instead of replacing a restaurant that has gone out of business, it might list a new business at that same address...and still keep the old one in addition.
Summary: * Haven't had problems updating maps, seems pretty easy. * It learns sometimes where you're going, it's nice because lets say you go the same place every Tuesday. Next tuesday it will have a little notification on top that says the place you are headed, and how long until you get there. You can just click it and hit Go. It doesn't always work but when it does it's nice. * It adjusts the times based on your driving habits, that's nice it being much more accurate.
Pros: * Gets me where I need to go * Loud * Still working after 1.5 years * Free map updates! * Adjusts to your driving, and learns where you are going (sort of).
Cons: * Speed limits are usually off, or non-existant * Menu navigation can be a little annoying. * Address finding isn't the most accurate. * Doesn't come close to sticking to windshield anymore.
Summary: Garmin GPS 2350 LT is really quite the product. My only problem is reading the manual and applying it to the product. Used it on a recent trip to San Diego. Boyohboy! Did it ever save us a gazillion times! We would have been truly lost without it! PUN intended! Although there are so very many areas in my own community that it does not know the short cuts, once we get on the right roads, 'Trudy" as we call her, 'recalculates' and we are OK!
Summary: My unit could not find the street in Chicago where a recycle center is located. Also the traffic signal camera detector seems to work intermittently at best. On the whole it is still a good product.
Summary: Haven't used much, but would recommend buying it in a deal, as you have free lifetime map updates on this one.
Pros: Works with micro usb / mini usb car chargers. Comes with an automount feature. Switch off the traffic and you have no ads. Routing calculation takes mean time. Nice screen and nice navigation with good features.
Cons: Voice is low when compared with other GPS. Routing calculation could have been made fast than it is right now.
Summary: Overall I feel this is a pretty solid GPS unit and I plan on keeping it until it breaks or I lose it again.
Pros: I don't know about average GPS units, but the 2350LMT easily surpasses the other Garmin I owned. It's got a better touchscreen, boots up faster, and recalculates faster also. The UI is also slightly better on this unit than my last one making searching for stuff much easier.
Cons: I don't like the ads, but you can just run off battery to avoid those. I don't like having to have the unit plugged in to receive traffic updates. Search times are still pretty slow.
Summary: Like all fetures on this unit. I like having the name of the steets being said as opposed to just turn right or left. That was my mistake for not paying close enough attention when I bought the unit. Other than that, the other features are outstanding.
Summary: I came from the Magellan 3250 so there are quirks that were inherent to the Magellan that don't exist in the Garmin 2350LMT but there is a single, important feature in the Magellan I miss in the Garmin. The feature is the ability for the GPS to give me an audible alert 100-200 ft before a change in my route is detected such as making a left turn or taking the on-ramp on the freeway.
Summary: I have been using this garmin for one month, and it's working with me. In the bigining when I read the other posted comments I was a bit concernd about the ads. That all other said that they are bothering, they really bothers but not that much bothering that will let you to choose another product. Simply, just go head and buy it it worths specially if you had the opportunity to buy it on the sales time.
Summary: Purchased a few weeks before Christmas and it arrived promptly with standard free shipping. This is not the top of the line, but it serves my purposes (and I would think most average users) very well. I did a little research, but mostly I bought it because CR recommended it. Have seen many people complain about the ads that fund the traffic reports, but to me they are not too obtrusive and you can always turn them off.
