  • Summary: Got this to give as a gift. He wanted this specific Garmin 2350LMT which is more expensive than my budget. I like to save money and being refurbished didn't worry me. Normally refurbished units are checked to make sure they work properly before they are repackaged. I was wrong with this one. Unit came on but when you touch the screen it doesn't go to where you pressed. He is going to have to return it so guess we didn't get a good deal after all.

First use March 25, 2012. Just plain died March 31st for no apparent reason.

Richard B., Newegg
1 April 2012
  • Summary: I was skittish buying this after reading the other feedback, but thought I'd give it a try anyways, and was so impressed in the first 6 days of use that today as I am writing this would have purchased another. I guess I should be happy that it died while still in warranty (I assume). Will contact Garmin for a refund or replacement.
  • Pros: When it worked it was the best GPS I ever owned. It showed traffic and automatically without any user input redirected my route. Screen layout great. The ads were unobtrusive. In fact whilst driving I boasted that I was going to buy another once my road trip ended and was lamenting why I didn't use it sooner.
  • Cons: It died in the following steps. First the road disappeared from the screen so that it just showed grey, then the voice commands stopped, then it didn't respond when I tried to re-input the destination via touch screen, then I shut it off to turn it back on (hoping that rebooting it would solve the problem), but it never came back on. This happened two days before my road trip ended. I had to use my first GPS which I took with me just in case there was a steep learning...

Poor Customer Service

Richard H., Newegg
12 March 2012
  • Summary: I have to go out to buy the correct power adapter and cost me another $20. MY ADVISE -- DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHEAP ONLINE WEBSITE. They have the least customer service!
  • Pros: Easy to use.
  • Cons: Product was packed with wrong connection accessories. The car lghter power input packed with this product was GTM26 when the actual model should be GTM35. Neither Garmin nor Newegg.com wants to take responsibility to correct the situation.

Don't Buy

Edward S., Newegg
10 January 2012
  • Summary: This is an update to my 12/12/2011 review. This second unit is also rebooting or shutting down randomly while in use. I now have to pay another shipping fee to get it replaced by Garmin. Although my earlier contact at Garmin said they would pay shipping if there was another problem, now they won't. And Newegg won't replace it or refund either. I'm not happy with either Garmin or Newegg.
  • Pros: Fast startup.
  • Cons: This is my second unit which doesn't work properly. Not reliable; shuts down randomly.

Garmin nuvi touch screen easily cracks

Stephen D., Newegg
7 January 2012
  • Summary: Just not worth the cost if the company will not do right by the customer when a problem occurs. I immediately replaced the Garmin with a Magellan.
  • Pros: Works as advertised while it worked.
  • Cons: Screen cracked while traveling. Rendered nuvi useless. Garmin customer service said touch screen breakage not covered under warranty.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS !!!!

cooljool, Amazon
23 December 2011
  • Summary: This piece of fake GPS is a horror to depend on. Just for test purpose twice I went from point A to point B. Both times the GPS took me different routes. The second time while on a ramp it said "Arrived at your destination" !!! Horror of horrors... Luckily since I knew the way to point B( which was still almost 2 miles away) I reached safely.. I returned it immediately. Are the satellites or maps or whatever it needs to be done in new GPS - are they not updated???

I can't recommend this unit.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 May 2011
  • Summary: Good...BUT not stable GPS. I've had 3 GPS from Garmin. This had the right features and when it works, it works great. The issue with this unit is an unfortunate one -- basically it will sporadically simply hang -- the UI freezes up and you can't get out of it without holding the power button for ~10sec to do a hard shutdown. You can then use it again after that. This has happened 4 times in the last 3 months (I purchased this 3 months ago).

2350 A Big Disappointment

R. Seidel "Bob", Amazon
9 May 2011
  • Summary: I am very disappointed in the 2350LMT and have returned it. Background: I am an experienced GPS user and have had two previous Garmin units. Before that I used an external GPS with my notebook PC. I currently have a Nuvi 750 which I liked very much. But it was getting older and needed a map update, so I decided to buy the 2350LMT after going through Garmin's configurator. But I had to wait months for it to ship.

Disappointed

Walter R. Schaefer, Amazon
9 May 2011
  • Summary: Got my new Garmin GPS and to say the least I am very disappointed. Pro's - Fast loading of maps - Quick satellite pick up - Quick recalculations if you get off your route - Nice display with good graphics Con's - You need a computer to register the unit (not in the product description) . If you don't register it the instruction say they will cut you off from MAP updates - When you do register it you need a certain computer configuration or it won't work.
