Great mom-proof GPS!

Meredith, Nebraska Furniture Mart
4 August 2013
  • Excerpt: I bought this as a gift for my Mom. She is not the most tech savvy person in the world, and after a few quick lessons on how to use it, she navigated a several hour trip all on her own. She had no complaints with using the device nor did she get lost! In fact, she actually made it to her destination on time!
  • Pros: Accurate, Extensive Base Map, Intuitive Menu, Large Screen, Quick Navigation, Quick Signal, Reliable Reception, Simple Controls

  • Summary: Ease of use and wide variety of functions. I would highly recommend this product over spending thousands extra on having navigation installed on your car.

Great!

Siffert, Amazon
7 June 2013
  • Summary: I also have a Garmin Nuvi 265T and bought this as a back up. In fact, I like this one better than the 265T! All the chargers etc. that worked on my 265 works on this Nuvi 2250LT as well. I like the 3.5" square screen better than the widescreen ones, so I highly recommended this one.

Changes from the previous model

Joshua Monmaney, Amazon
20 March 2013
  • Summary: I got this because my other one was stolen/lost. I like that it has speed limits now, but I miss the voice of my old one, some of the new voices seem more robotic.

does what I need, but small screen needs bigger fonts

M. K. Leiva, Amazon
30 August 2012
  • Summary: I bought this because my nuvi 250 had run out of room to receive map updates. I travel a lot for work, often to locations that google or mapquest can't easily find. I needed to be able to update the maps for all of North America and still retain my saved favorites. All the reviews I read pointed me to a larger unit but because I travel with it, I wanted the smallest one possible. Now I see why the larger units are better.
