Summary: This GPS is able to help us find our way around England. I did not give it 5 stars, because it is a bit slow in recalculating routes when I miss a turn or decide to take a slightly different route.
Summary: Excellent product and does everything you need from a SatNav. Lane assist function works well and there is photo realistic junction view, although this is only on selected major A road and Motorway junctions. The junction image shows up for about five seconds and then disappears. I can't find any way of changing the settings for this as it would be useful if the image stayed on the screen a little longer. The junction view is not in real time, it's just a fixed image.
much better than earlier version (apart from the voice)

Summary: my old western Europe Garmin (Nuvi 205), bought in Dec 2008, was very out of date mapwise, & also insisted on rebooting - very slowly - every time the car ignition had been switched off. This one does switch itself off 15 secs after the ignition goes off, but is back in action very swiftly when turned on again. OTOH my old one had a very inoffensive voice.
Summary: I wanted a reasonably priced, easy to use GPS and that's exactly what I got! I'm using it in Denmark and so far so good, the directions have been right on and the screen, though small is adequate. The only downside is that it sometimes takes me the "long way" but for places where I sort of know my way, I just stop listening to the nice lady for a bit and let her "recalculate.
Summary: I have been using one of these for a while so this is a long term review. The unit is very nice and a big improvement over older models. The touch screen is easy to use too. One problem I have is that you need a second unit by a different manufacturer as a backup. There have been several times I have programmed an address which I know to be correct and is available on one of the map websites, but the unit gives me a different address and asks if I want to go there.
Summary: Because it is my first Sat Nav and had no clue how they worked, I thought I'd start simple and cheap. Have to say, it's a good wee gadget and very clear on directions (depending on what voice you picked!)so therefore I'd say go for it! The only thing I'd say against it is that sometimes I don't know the post code (to enter "Where to") so it would be nice if it put up the map and directions with just the town and address but it seems to want the whole thing.
Summary: A good clear picture within small dimensions and a small price. Very sensitive; pulling onto a layby only 20 metres from the main road produced a "recalculating" immediately. Same result from going twice round a French roundabout. But why does it have to use the trendy " kilOMetres"? We don't say "kilOGrams" or "kilOWatts" By far its most distracting feature is the computer-generated accent when in French mode.
Summary: I purchased the garmin nuvi 2240 European mapping and it was adequate for a basic satnav. It has European maps which is a good thing but its quite small and doesnt have any additional features such as bluetooth connectivity .I returned it and got a full refund and purchased something more suitable to my needs so the returns process worked fine.
Summary: Nice product, much slimmer than my old version. Speaks the street names which is useful and the 'lane assist' is another improvement. Very good price from BMW Direct and very quick delivery. Can recommend product and seller.
Summary: I got this for my husband, he swears by Garmin, reckons it beats all the others hands down, and he travels all over the country in his work, so that I reckon is a great recommendation it is reliable and uncomplicated too, which is a great bonus. Also it came very very quickly, was well packed and free post ! who could want more ...well done Amazon !
