Summary: I've had this for 6 months and 80% of the time, I want to throw it out the window. It has told me to go the wrong way down 1 way streets, tells me to turn right onto a street when I'm on the highway when there isn't even an exit, if my destination is on the left hand side of the rode; it will tell...
Summary: Bottom line: You have to pay the freight back to Garmin with an RMA # before they will perform under the warranty. It may take you a couple hours or more to get them to issue the RMA #. First Garmin Nuvi worked well so bot identical one for my wife last January.
Summary: If you had asked me my opinion of this unit anytime from last June when I bought it until yesterday, I'd have had nothing but kind things to say. It was a great little GPS. Its virtues have been well explained by other reviewers, so I don't need to add anything.
Summary: I ordered this for my wife for Christmas of 2009. We were very pleased with it until a few days ago when my wife said it no longer showed any roads. I checked it out and tried to "reset" it according to the instructions and still no go. All I get is a message that says "unable to calculate.
Summary: The Garmin Nuvi 205 is great except the software included with it is old. I live in Arizona where there is a lot of growth. The software has got to be at least three years old. If you want to find a place in a newly built area, the Garmin cannot find it.
Summary: I used Garmin 205 to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The GPS insisted to get off I-15 on every exit even in California, which I didn't follow. I upgraded the firmware and had 2010 map. It lacked a road and hotel (Vdara) in Las Vegas.
