Decent product but not the best I've seen for similar $.

Summary: A couple things that I do not like so far on this GPS: 1) Does not work while charging!! This is a HUGE disadvantage in my mind. If it happens to need charged while you're using it, you're out of luck! 2) Small thing....in order to mute it, you have to go to a 2nd screen. A previous GPS I owned had a mute right on the map screen so you could easily mute or unmute depending on your needs. (e.g.
Summary: This was advertised as a factory refurbished product. Due to the fact that the unit was not reset to the original factory settings, nor did it come with a users manual, I don't believe the refurbished claim. As far as I know, it could have been an individual selling their old unit, or even stolen. The unit has intermittent issues upon starting it up. Sometimes it won't boot at all. If restart it a couple of times, it has worked.
Summary: i have a magellan roadmate 1420 and i like this magellan better then the garmin nuvi don't like garmin because the screen quality sucks magellan is much nicer like reality real screen like magellan better alot..tell me to turn right and there is no turn right its just the shape of the road on wide corners weird tells u to turn and your not turning your just going around a curve.
Summary: This gps is not that good. It does not name the street or intersection to turn to. Just say on a ridiculous voice: turn right or turn left. when there are several choices for left and right you end up lost. I have a fligth Garmin GPS and it is great, but for the road Magellan is best.
Pros: Product doesn't hold a candle to the Tom Tom for ease of use and updates.
Cons: Garmin does not give any warranty. I had a 2 week old unit that they have had for 3 months and they will not repair it. Each time I contact them I get a different "specialist". Each time they want some extra info. I gave up and bought a Tom Tom!
Summary: I bought this to place my stolen previous one. I dislike the length of time it takes to acquire satellites. Also I missed the feature of the previous one that gave directions by street names. The maps were older and require purchase of updates. That is my fault for not reading the specs. Bottom line - Read the full description, seller did not mislead me, I just got caught up in the auction, overpaid in my excitement and did not get what I wanted.
Summary: this gps detects the signal quickly but it does not have the ability to pronounce the name of streets like other gps, when there is a turn it says make a left or right turn only, but the good gps it says turn right at main st for exemple
