Summary: Nice big color touch screen. The traffic feature is nice in that it does not require a subscription, but it's almost always inaccurate. It seems like it runs about 30 minutes to an hour behind actual traffic conditions.
Summary: I really like the big 5" display and finally a GPS unit that the volume can be adjusted to be heard over road noise. I am disappointed that it does not link with my Bluetooth capable phone. So far, that is the only thing that I wish it had. It is my fault that I didn't read the product specs.
Summary: I also have an older Garmin. This has new maps and life-time updates (as I understand it). It is not significantly different than the older one. Bigger screen is nice. But, it does seem that it takes a good bit longer to find the satellites when it is booting up.
Summary: I had been using an earlier Garmin GPS for five or six years and the touch screen stopped working. The new Garmon 1450t has a larger and much clearer screen. I find it much easier to read and process the information on the screen. Its routes so far have been accurate.
