Summary: Nice big color touch screen. The traffic feature is nice in that it does not require a subscription, but it's almost always inaccurate. It seems like it runs about 30 minutes to an hour behind actual traffic conditions. Lifetime map updates are nice, but it's a bit of a pain to bring it in and run the updater app of my computer for it. I think my next GPS is just going to be a cradle for my phone.
Summary: The main reason for writing this review is to tell what a great experience I had with customer service. I had just downloaded a map update and wanted to recharge the battery in my 1450. I plugged in a third party battery charger in the back and immediately new something was wrong and unplugged it. I could smell that nauseating smell of electric burn. I check there FAQ's and in plain English they say they are not responsible for damage done by third party chargers. Dang!
Pros: 5" screen, lifetime maps,Poi's,Traffic. The ability to change their route to fit your needs.
Summary: I bought this 1450LMT as a gift for my ex wife, (yes we get along just fine). I have a 1490LMT, which is the exact same as the 1450 + Bluetooth. I've never used the Bluetooth and niether will she so the 1450 is a little cheaper and the way to go. The lifetime maps and traffic updates are great. It does everything I want it to do. If it ever acts a little strange just "reset" it which is very easy to do and its like new again.
