Summary: We only had this for a few days but it's working well. It does not have as many voices as the old Garmin had so we are missing Emily. The maps have more details so I guess there is no space for so many options. It's a good GPS and the size is good for people who can't see that well anymore...
Summary: This is my second Nuvi 1450. First was dropped too many times. Didn't care for the newer, smaller ones so I went on line searching for the Nuvi 1450. I would recommend this one to anyone who is interested in Garmin GPS.
Summary: I really like the big 5" display and finally a GPS unit that the volume can be adjusted to be heard over road noise. I am disappointed that it does not link with my Bluetooth capable phone. So far, that is the only thing that I wish it had. It is my fault that I didn't read the product specs.
Summary: I was expecting the traffic info with this GPS to be like Googlemaps where you get a look-ahead sense of traffic and can plan for alternate routes. Instead, all you get is an intermittant notification (usually incorrect) that tells you traffic in your path is delayed a couple of minutes.
Summary: This is the third Garmin in our family . . . and by far the worst. I am blaming it on the map updates, but there seems to be no logic to the directions and it seems far slower to respond than the previous two.
Summary: I had been using an earlier Garmin GPS for five or six years and the touch screen stopped working. The new Garmon 1450t has a larger and much clearer screen. I find it much easier to read and process the information on the screen. Its routes so far have been accurate.
Summary: My Garman performed above expectations. It made a first time drive from Pittsburgh, Pa to Houston, Tx a breeze. Even got us around several trafic tie-ups with ease. On a 1-10 scale it is a 10.
