Summary: Hi, I have bought several Garmin GPS's over the years. This one started having issues afteer a year or soUnable to find satellite coverage, even in open areas, then the battery started dying after a full ? charge, lasting only 1 hour or so. I bought another Garmin, more expensive one, and this one doesn't hold a charge hardly at all. I can charge it overnight on the AC charger , GPS turned of.
Summary: This is a nice GPS and it verbially names the streets that are coming up. There is also a written listing. Sometimes I am unable to look at the screen to read the names due to traffic so the verbal is great.
hate that it never picks the most use of highway routes.

Summary: there is no option to pick 'most use of highways' - each time it would pick local routes. completely hated it until i googled hard enough to solve the routing issue. you have to set the eco mode and ur car profile with 15mpg city and 40mpg highway and use fastest time with it to trick the gps to make most use of highways. basically - who cares for all the features when the main function you expect is under performing.
BIG stepup for driving solo to an unfamiliar location!

Summary: Although an older model, all the features work great! I recently go the HD bluetooth adaptor for my car and it adds several gauges for monitoring engine performance. Only thing is that they update about 1-2 times per second, not really real time, but that is due to the car and not the GPS/bluetooth. Seems to be very accurate as far as position/speed/junction view. The voice is very clear and loud so it is easy to hear and understand.
Summary: Got this for my wife as a Christmas present because she really really wanted one. This one was one of the best deals out there with lifetime map and traffic updates, bluetooth for handsfree calling, and it even tells you the speed limit of the road you are traveling and shows your speed in red if you are over the limit. Such a good product, I bought one for myself.
Summary: I bought a Nextar GPS (cheap unit) 3 years ago. It performed well, but offered no map upgrade. I decided to buy another unit and settled on the Garmin 1390T. I enjoyed using it until I tried to get it to avoid interstate highways. There is no option that I can find for that! We like to ride secondary roads for sight-seeing. It's just unbelievable that the cheap unit I bought had an option the Garmin did not have.
Summary: Looks pretty nice. Thin. Easy to use. The bluetooth is greatand pairs nicely with a bluetooth phone. Fantastic user interface. Would suggest highly for anyone who want speech for streets. Find closest gas/timmies ect..
lifetime updates BUT not enough free space for the updates...

Summary: I wondered how Garmin would continue to make money selling gps with lifetime map updates, now I know why. The available space on the devices memory is not large enough to update my maps. I even bought a memory card to insert into the device's memory card slot but I could not get that to work either. I would not recommend buying Garmin's devices that have lifetime map updates. It is a scam.
