Cons: ordered the garmin, received it fast, the touch pad did not work, returned it. Shipping cost came out of my pocket because i was not privy to the availability of free shipping lbel. I received the second one fast, it didn't work, returned it. I still don't know whether i have store credit or not.
Summary: If you are going to use this for city use only it will do a good job. For long over the road travel, make sure you bring a map and check your route. #1 the blue tooth is worthless, the other end can hear you but you cannot hear what the person is saying to you, I finally disabled it. Traffic, not sure what good it does, changes from green to red, by that time you know you are stuck in traffic.
Summary: While this GPS worked well for the first few months. It became apparent that I had to start using the free updates offered because of old or changing data. Obstacle #1 "Your operating system is not supported" I was not willing to spend several more hundred dollars on a compatible computer or operating system so went to a friend who had a MS operateing system installed and he let me use his computer.
Summary: This is my second sat-nav my first being a Garmin Streetpilot c510T. I upgraded to a new model because my maps could no longer be updated and I thought that this Garmin would be as reliable as my previous one. As we were planning a three week travelling holiday I thought it a good time to upgrade. What a mistake.
Summary: I just received it after days of waiting. It even didnot turn on~!! I believe it'd be the end of Amazon for me. I also got a Lenovo laptop a couple of weeks ago which was not that satisfactory. Goodbye Amazone I am now going out to see a GPS, check it, touch it, talk to a human about it and finally buy it. Even I'd pay less. P.S. I had to givw one star cause it doesn't accept it with no star.
Summary: The Garmin 1390LMT is a great GPS. We have used it only around familiar territory so far, but we like to do that before we take it out on the road. Next month we hope to take it for a drive to the Black Hills and we will see truely how how it is. But so far we love all the features this GPS has. The lane assist will be a big asset once we get out on freeways. The elevation feature is always nice for curiosity.
