Summary: we bought this in 2011 with a lifetime map upgrade included in the price....but what we found out later is that the maps no longer fit on the card installed with the device and they dicontinued the lifetime upgrades.....
Summary: I purchased this unit to navigate Parisian and other French roads--the unit comes with preloaded European maps which was the main reason for picking this unit. It worked some of the time, but also made some of the trip very frustrating by wanting us to turn into one-way streets (in the opposite...
Summary: I bought this GPS for travel in both the USA and Europe. I am very disappointed with it. -Connecting the unit to a computer in order to update maps and download software was absolutely baffling.
Summary: I had read the reviews, saying that there were firmware issues, so I made sure that I updated to the latest before leaving for my trip. My first stop was in the US, and other than taking a long time to get the signal when I first turned it on, it worked well.
Summary: Was supposed to include BOT North America and Europe maps - Europe maps were missing. Aslo, when I contacted Garmin, the product was apparently "registered with someone else", so "per their policy", they had to get a release from this "someone else". Issue still unresloved.
Summary: I've owned this model for about a year, since March 2010, and my satisfaction is mixed. I first used it on a trip to Spain and France in March 2010, and it did OK. However, routing from Carcassonne to Andorra took us through some very interesting countryside and back roads.
Summary: I bought this model to replace my old one for the same reason as many others - it comes with European maps pre-loaded which I wanted for an upcoming trip. So far I have only used it once, and the experience was full of flaws.
Summary: I am a Tom Tom user, but my son convinced me to buy Garmin. I really regret buying it. It does not have many address in the UK, neither has good route plans. From my home towards Heathrow Tom Tom always guides me to West.
