  • Summary: The advertisements are a very big distraction. Anytime you are at a stop light or stop sign, an advertisement will cover the map on your GPS screen. It is very annoying if you are trying to view the map. I have used the GPS unit for about a month, and it randomly restarts itself while you are driving. I had another Garmin nuvi, and it constantly restarted itself. I thought my last unit was defective. It looks like it's a flaw with Garmin GPS units.

  • Summary: I used a friends NUVI 1300 once. Liked it OK. Found 1350LMT on sale at Walmart store. Used on 1 trip. Unit would freeze sometimes for 50 miles (car not showing movement on screen, and mileage not changing). Had to power off/ on to reset. On freeways it knew the highway numbers. Federal and state highways were identified on screen by names (that only locals would know) instead of highway numbers. Unit failed to give verbal instructions (turn info) several times.

  • Summary: When I turn it on, it says it is unable to unlock the maps. The directions given by garmin to resolve the problem have not worked. I am still able to use the unit anyway. To get to the Palm Beach International Airport, it told me to turn onto Turnage Blvd. There is no such street name. If you buy a garmin, I suggest you include in your time of arrival a provision for Garmin Lost Time. That is the time it will take to find your destination after Garmin gets you lost.

  • Summary: I bought the Garmin Nuvi 1350LMT for my daughter after her previous GPS was stolen. I've been happy with my old Garmin Nuvi 200W even tho it's a very basic model with no traffic capability, and wanted to upgrade hers to include traffic. There are a couple things that are much better than my unit and some changes that I don't like.

Does the job . . . with some problems

  • Summary: I've used the Garmin Nuvi 1350 GPS for a month, including a road trip through the west coast US and Canada. Pros: - GPS works well most of the time - I found it easy to follow with clear voice annunciation of upcoming turns. The GPS did "get lost" when in downtown areas with high buildings. - A cool feature allows you to display the speed limit beside your actual speed.

Simply not what I expected.

  • Summary: The Garmin nuvi 1350/1350T was the first GPS I have ever owned; so take that as you will with the following review. I acquired the 1350 a little over a month ago and am thoroughly disappointed. From the reviews I read prior to purchasing this item I had high hopes, and I held Garmin as one of the best producers of the portable GPS based upon this.

Not worth the headaches

M. Stern, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this to replace a Garmin 780 that was unfortunately stolen out of my wife's car. We received the 1350T and updated the maps. I tested it against the Navigation application that was in my Droid X to see how accurate the traffic report was during a daily commute. It is sad to say while I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, the Garmin stated that the roads were perfectly fine while the Droid X was much more accurate with where the traffic problem began and...
