Summary: I purchased this to replace a Garmin 780 that was unfortunately stolen out of my wife's car. We received the 1350T and updated the maps. I tested it against the Navigation application that was in my Droid X to see how accurate the traffic report was during a daily commute.
Summary: So i originally bought the 255 model but i think the one i received was defective since it would shut off on its own and the voice sounded a bit distorted at times. I went and returned that one and got the 1350 model instead since it has the lane assist feature.
Summary: 1. Lack of responsiveness of the touchscreen is a significant negative feature. Compared to an iPhone, for instance, moving closer or farther from the location viewed is much more cumbersome than simply moving your fingers apart or together on a touchscreen. 2.
Summary: I have invested about 8 hours in trying to make this unit useful and I finally gave up. The 1350 does a pretty good job of going from A to B in the same area but its value for a longer trip are much lower. Here are my issues: 1. The User Interface is cumbersome.
Summary: The Garmin nuvi 1350/1350T was the first GPS I have ever owned; so take that as you will with the following review. I acquired the 1350 a little over a month ago and am thoroughly disappointed.
Got me to where I needed to go, but....................

Summary: I used this product for 3 weeks and was constantly surprised by the routes that the Nuvi sent me. Never once did this GPS send me the easiest or most direct route. I also had the problem of the Nuvi shuttting itself off, and it had a hard time finding a signal quite often.
Lost too much functionality compared to my old Street Pilot

Summary: I bought this a couple weeks ago, and I will be returning it this weekend. We travel full-time in our motor home, and we are often in unfamiliar territory. I have been using a Garmin Street Pilot for seven or eight years.
Summary: I've used the Garmin Nuvi 1350 GPS for a month, including a road trip through the west coast US and Canada. Pros: - GPS works well most of the time - I found it easy to follow with clear voice annunciation of upcoming turns. The GPS did "get lost" when in downtown areas with high buildings.
Summary: 2 major problems: (a) Unit powers off frequently and randomly. May power back on itself or you may have to reboot. This may take several attempts. This is a real problem especially when you are driving in city traffic or expecting a major highway exit.
