Excerpt: I was on the motorway once, listening to what it would say next, but it did not say anything for about 15 minutes, I got very scared that time and I did not even know where I was! But finally it said something, so it can get very worrying sometimes, actually setting out your route can be a bit nasty sometimes, Im not good with technology but once set im good. However it does do its job. I feel that this device is great for long journeys I would give it a nine out of ten.
Summary: When I purchased updates and Europe maps, and tried to load them, I could not get it to happen. Despite numerous attempts and extensive emails with Garmin's technical dept, I have been unsuccessful in getting UK updates and Europe maps loaded so useless for use in Europe and wasted money on the updates package. Garmin were not really helpful.
Summary: Only flaw is sometimes it hard to enter addresses it doesnt like such as industrial estates and a few times it has got me lost - also if travelling in scotland need extra maps or you end up in timbuctoo.
Summary: This satnav could easily be improved with just a few changes to suit me and others like me, a delivery driver: the autozoom feature is a pain ... it zooms out when I arrive at a customer's address, just when I want it to zoom in and get me to the right spot! (I use my own POI file of regular customer locations using long/lat).
Summary: I have had mine for around 14 months and I can't fault it one bit. I've found it's route planner excellent and quite accurate, and hasn't taken me round the houses too often.
