Summary: Just two months past warranty this Garmin now freezes up at the "Select Country screen". I spent hours on-line trying all of the suggested fixes recommended by Garmin but none of them worked. I contacted Garmin and they said that I could send it back for repair but it would cost me $90.00 for the repair. THANKS BUT NO THANKS Garmin!! I am throwing this Nuvi 1300 in the garbage and I plan to buy a different brand all together.
Summary: Re: my previous review. Please ignore my previous review on the subject of defective product. I have just received an immediate response from Amazon and Essex Tech. They offered me an immediate refund on my purchase of the Garmin nuvi 1300LMT. However the buyer should be aware that this particular product has a long history of defective keyboards.

Summary: This Nuvi doesnt like highways/expressways, it repeatedly kept trying to route me off of them. I spoke to Garmin several times on our vacation and I was simply told it's not capable of letting me choose my route. Yes people I understand the settings and so forth, THEY(GARMIN) said i needed a better one.
Summary: This arrived in 'used' condition. Shipping package was bulky but protected the contents well. The battery was fully discharged. The registration for Garmin lifetime maps worked. All ok so far. Power-on seemed very slow. The touch screen would stop working, leaving nothing to do other than press and hold the power button until it turned off. I tried driving around town with it running. It would show my location for a while and then lock up. Display is frozen.
Summary: I've had one of these for quites some time. Updates take far too long, and even after updating the unit still doesn't know where many, many places are. Directed me to places that don't exist, sent me to the gates of gated communities, and just generally bad directions. Took all my control not to hammer it into a thousand bits.
Horrible GPS with a multitude of issues both big and small

Summary: I've had nothing but trouble with this GPS since I replaced a Garmin unit that died shortly after it's 1 year birthday (conveniently just out of warranty). The unit takes a long, long time to acquire a satellite signal; prior to trying to find a satellite it takes a long time to actually boot; the units touchscreen requires a hammer-like touch to register; the unit frequently takes us on unnecessary and inexplicable diversions - for example when travelling from A to B on...
Very Bad!!!!! Have to throw it into the trash can.

Summary: My Garmin 1300T just arrived from the seller, it frozen, won't charge, and when I actually got it work, it said no map data. Try to contact the seller....they sound like don't care as long as they got the money. Too bad for me, I throw away the box right after I open it which is exactly the trash day... Call Garmin support, they show me here and there but still won't work.
Summary: I bought 2 of these. One for me and one for my girlfriend. Hers works reasonably well but we were both TomTom users and it wasn't easy or intuitive to use. Mine never worked from the get go although it would start up, acquire satellites then at some point you look down and it is locked up at some place back down the road. You try to get back to the startup screen and the back arrow will not work. Pull the plug on the power and it goes completely off... This is just junk.
