Incredibly Useful Gizmo

Librarian, Amazon
21 October 2006
  • Summary: Garmin iQue M5 I'm very pleased with my little iQue M5 GPS/PDA. While it's not perfect, it's pretty darn amazing. I had actually purchased a Lowrence iWay 350 GPS, but then my husband discovered the iQue on sale at Costco for about [...] more.

Decent GPS but now in DISCONTINUED status

DJ of Hamiltonia, Amazon
16 July 2006
  • Summary: We bought this about a month ago from Amazon. The product itself seems fine - we used it on a vacation drive from NJ to Myrtle Beach and back. At times, it was a help (like when there was a traffic jam on 95 in VA and we needed an alternate route).

needs a DVD drive on your PC

J. nusser, Amazon
3 June 2006
  • Summary: Despite what the technical details on this page say, you need a DVD drive, not a CD-ROM drive, to load the software. It does say DVD drive under system requirements on the box, but that's after I bought it online and waited a week to receive it.

15 May 2006

One awesome PDA

poconoracing, Amazon
19 January 2006
  • Summary: As a longtime palm user I was a little reluctant to move into the Windows Mobile world, but my old dependable M130 was dying, so I started looking for a new PDA. I travel a ton for business and was fascinated by the GPS in the M5.

First impression - mixed results

R. Carroll, Amazon
26 December 2005
  • Summary: Setup was easy, I got the 1 gig SD card and loaded half the US, and still have 400 meg available for mp3, jpeg, other files. This is my first GPS, first PDA, and I've had it a week, so this is a preliminary review: Pros: pocket size accessories all included can see screen easily in daylight PDA...

Truly amazing package! Try it for yourself

Fahad Pervez, Amazon
26 December 2005
  • Summary: I have just used the product for 14 days. I can not describe how happy I am with the performance of this tiny little gadget. First of all, for all those people complaining about bluetooth or wi-fi connectivity, I think this pocket PC is more focused on being a GPS/Navigation system and all the...

kinda does its job

lost in space, Amazon
26 December 2005
  • Summary: Garmin, a pioneer in the GPS industry, has ceased to be an innovator. In order to appear as the premium product they've used the time-honored technique (learned from restaurants no doubt) of demanding a premium price. I've had the device for several months and have several observations.

Great GPS. Good PDA. Below Average MP3 Player

Texan PuraVida, Amazon
26 December 2005
  • Summary: Since this is a rather hefty investment, most people want a more thorough review rather than "I like it a lot". So here goes. I purchased the M5 about a month ago for $550. Due to other reviews that I read, I was aware of installation issues and decided to follow the step-by-step instructions as...
