Great PDA and OK GPS, when it works.

scrm2003egl, Ebay
13 June 2010
  • Summary: The Garmin iQue 3600 functions as both a PDA and a GPS and this combined function was the primary reason for selecting this unit back in 2004. There are functions to keep phone lists with addresses, hunting and fishing times, memos, documents, phases of the sun and moon, a date book and several others including a MP3 player capability and the ability to password protect your data.

Garmin iQue 3600 and Windows 7 incompatible

jdavidknepper, Ebay
11 February 2010
  • Summary: Can't get excited about a product that is only about three years old and yet is discontinued by Garmin and Palm both, doesn't seem to work well with Windows 7, and is, simply, useless. Perhaps if we go through the elaborate, protect-the-manufacturers'-interests, confusing installation process on an older computer, it will finally work. I don't trust Garmin anymore. I'm beginning to distrust Palm.

Interesting concept but lacks tech-know!

  • Summary: Mine is a refurb and although I couldn't build one myself but.. I can seem to be able to crash it , and have to reboot it, or click on the "welcome "icon to let the stylus know where I am,numerious times on a daily basis! I built my first p.c.(the one just after the "486") and this thing locks up more than it did. Cool concept! but after purchace, I have found that it lacks support from Garmin to back it up. Battery time is realy short.

Good in a limited way

71Stang, Amazon
16 September 2006
  • Summary: I will make it short since there are already some nice, detailed reviews. This unit is good for automotive, plugged-in use only because of its VERY limited battery life. Even when not in use, whether at home or in car, keep it in the cradle. Else, it will drain itself of battery, lose memory and require re-synching! Limited to this type of use, it is a good GPS.

good product, but needs improvement

D. Shen "ds1738", Amazon
31 January 2005
  • Summary: I bought it as Christmas gift for my gf, and she loves it. It generally works fine, but with a few problems. Other reviews talked about most of the good things about it, and I agreed. So here I will only talk about the few flaws. Overall, it's a usefull tool; but don't rely on it too much and it's always wise to still keep a copy of paper map in your car. The system sometime couldn't find the signal, but a soft reset will solve the problem.

Be sure to read the entire manual before you use.

C. Sreerama "Trust me", Amazon
5 November 2004
  • Summary: I got the iQue 3600 bundle as i was moving to a new place where i got a job. The first day i got it, i headed out using the GPS to someones place for dinner (did not read the entire user guide), i put they address in the address book and used the iQue to route the way (bad idea). No matter the place i was supposed to go was in the same zip code, the GPS led me 40 miles away from my destination into the woods and pulled me up into dead ends three times.
