Summary: I bought this iQue 3600 as a replacement for one I have, that fell apart when trying to replace it's dead battery. As I had all the accessories for it and map data on my old one, I didn't want to spend more money on a new one. I thought I could use the old accessories and transfer all my information to the replacement. I was wrong, the map data on the old one could not be transfered to the replacement and Garmin no longer supports this product.
Summary: received package today. Turn on Garmin IQ3600 GPS and it did not work. Called Garmin tech support and after several tries garmin said GPS unit reached end of life. I need to get in touch with seller diontensdeals and let that person know that GPS unit does not work.
Summary: I mistakenly bought this product without software and without owner's password and registration information. Garmin has discontinued this product which makes it harder. The date book works fine but there is no map program loaded so the GPS is uselell. I am hoping the problem can be solved by taking it to a Garmin service center but the closest one is over one hundred miles but I will be going that way next week. Another problem is the screen.
Summary: In the previous review i was told that they got the gps and took right off. Well, i went to set it up and the instructions were wrong and support did guide me throught that. then i was told to go out and buy a card for it witch they said would be a couple bucks and 30 dollars later i and finally getting my maps. It is not working yet ... download takes an hour.. so my review is this has been a lot of trouble and it is not eeven working yet.....
Summary: My company car has a built-in GPS unit and I have gotten to like it, sort-of. I have gotten lost in a rental car trolling around Silicon Valley enough to get a portable GPS unit. After some research, the Garmin iQue 3600 is what I ended up with and I paid about $700. The unique feature of this portable GPS unit is that a PalmPilot comes integrated into the package. I use a PalmPilot, so this GPS unit replaces my PalmV.
Summary: I've owned my Garmin IQUE for over a year, and it is now going back to Garmin again for repair for the 2nd time. The GPS works fine, however the internal memory is way underserved. It is imperative to have additional memory to download the maps. The screen has gone completely dead on me for the 2nd time, and I have handled the system with kid-gloves. I would not buy this unit again, nor recommend it to a friend.
Summary: I was shopping for a GPS last year. I did a lot of research and considered this one, but ultimately decided upon the Meridian Color by Magellan. In my opinion the Meridian Color is a superior product with superior software, and it retails for about half the cost of the Garmin. I have used the Meridian Color in the US and in Europe and am very happy with my purchase. I would urge you to at least check out the Meridian Color before buying the Garmin.
