Summary: Never done a review on anything ever before so here goes. My son does Ironman competitions (swim, bike and run) and I've been to a number of them over the last couple of years to cheer him on and especially to take some photos. The half Ironman takes 4-5 hours to complete and the full takes 9-10 hours. Obviously a long time in either case to watch and wonder where he was and when I might see him.
This delivered the quality of Garmin that you would expect

Summary: It performed as described, and had a quality build that goes with the Garmin name. It has worked consistenly for me, I have two of them. One to track my vehicle, it's attached to my 12V adapter (sold seperately). It holds enough battery (on the conservative mode) to go between charging (when the car is started). The other is on our golden retriever. It goes 3-4 weeks before it needs a charge.. fortunately the golden has never run away, fortunatley..
Summary: I love this GPS tracker. It has a free service for a year and after a year will be $4.95/month. I use this to track my daughter from bus stop to the house. I can use the Garmin Tracker App on my iPhone to get live "real time" updates. It also texts and emails me when she is safe inside a "Geo Fence" that I have entered on the units link on the Garmin website. Love it!
Summary: Did exactly what I was expecting. I bought this as, I admit, an over cautious parent. I placed it in my 4 year old's backpack while we were at disneyland. After riding one ride I was not sure if the rest of my family had gone to the next area of if they were still where we left them, I checked the GPS and found them very quickly.
Summary: My dog has developed the bad habit of going "walk-about" as of late. After four good Samaritans called to tell me from the collar tag that they had her, I thought extra steps were needed. I didn't like the idea of the invisible fence type shock collars. I wanted something that would gave me quick warning about the her attempting a walk-about. Surprisingly there is not much to choose from. I researched them all.
Summary: We have had a problem with someone stealing things from our company. We leave items spread out over the state and there is no way to keep eyes on everything. From the reviews out there, I couldn't tell which gps tracker was the best, so I purchased three of the most popular. We spent several days setting up geo fences and driving around the state with all of them. As long as the Garmin tracker stays within the geo fence, the battery lasts for a week.
Summary: We rescued an English pointer hunting dog from Texas. She is 6 years old and a beauty. She came from a hunting lodge where she was jjust part of a pack. Not sure what to expect so we had her micro chipped and tags with our info. We live adjacent to forestry land and a lot of acreage with not many people. We felt needed an edge because of all the wilderness she could be lost in.
Summary: I bought 2 of these to help keep track of my 80yo Mom who has memory issues and dementia. She still lives on her own but occasionally wanders off to the bank or store too far away. I slip 1 into her purse liner and it "pings" me when the GPS unit leaves the set GEO fence which is her neighborhood. Battery life is good since it sleeps while inside the GEO fence. I change out GPS units each week with the fresh battery one. Peace of mind.... worth every penny!
Summary: I absolutely love this device. Couldn't ask for more for a tracking device. I have it hidden in my child's carseat just in case. The setting are incredible & it works perfectly. I'm able to locate very accurately. Would work great for luggage or a child car too.
For the price, including the year of service, it is great - battery life not as expected, but works while charging

Summary: I bought this to track a rarely driven vehicle. The reviews are great and accurate. It works plugged in. It comes with the USB cord for your computer to program it and charge it, but no AC plug or 12v auto plug. If you buy a $3 auto 12v plug, you can use the included usb to have this always plugged in and charging (and draining your battery).
