Garmin GTU 10

The Garmin GTU 10 is a GPS locator that supports web-based Garmin Tracker™ service for computers, smartphones and compatible Garmin nüLink devices. Designed in a 3“x1.3”x.8“ form factor that weighs 1.7 oz, the Garmin GTU 10 is a waterproof device that can attached to a backpack, dog collar or anything that needs to be tracked with its carabiner clip and pouch. Users are required to register their GTU 10 at my.Garmin.com to enable the tracking service, then have tracking data delivered across AT&T's wireless network. Users can then manage their GTU 10 and map its location through a computer, or via their mobile phone with a downloadable Garmin Tracker™ application to see the location of GTU 10 and how it relates to their current location. The device is also compatible with Garmin nüLink and can automatically route users to the GTU 10's location with turn-by-turn directions.

Features

The Garmin GTU 10 allows users to create up to 10 geofences (virtual boundaries) for a device attached to it. When the device enters or exits a geofenced area, Garmin sends an email or text message notification to the user or authorized friends and family members to keep them informed of its position. The Garmin GTU 10 also tracks history of where its been, and allows users to customize battery settings for optimal performance. It is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery that can last up to four weeks and low battery/powered off notifications through the tracking service that prompts users when it's time to recharge or when the device has been turned off. For parents they can be notified of when their child has arrived at the babysitter's house after school, or track their teenager when he/she borrows a car. Cyclist and runners may also carry the Garmin GTU 10 so that loved ones can track their whereabouts, or let friends track their progress on race day. The GTU 10 can also be attached to a prized possession, such as boats, tools, farm machinery, construction equipment, or even a car so that owners can keep an eye on their goods from anywhere.
