Summary: Don't get me started about how much I love this thing. I'm an archaeologist and I prefer the use of my own unit when allowed as opposed to glitchy old Trimbles. You can take points when needed and it has its own software to get it onto the computer.
Summary: We love our Garmin. We use it for camping and hiking officially, but have lately started enjoying it for geocaching. The maps are more than adequate to get you where you're going while hiking or driving. It can also be used to track top speed in car tests if you are so inclined.
Summary: Pretty disappointed, actually. Got this to do Geocaching with, and my iPhone actually seems to be more accurate. Also, the unit as shipped contained instructions that are now obsolete based on the software in the unit and based on how Geocaching now works.
Summary: After using it on a few hundred hikes now, I still have not come to like it. I've had Garmin GPS's before and was extremely satisfied, but this model has dampened my enthusiasm for anything Garmin. Using the automatic setting, the Trip Computer reads a full 19% too high!

Summary: Its works really good but the software to support the Caribbean is not supported and the local dealer charge me more than i payed for the item. I really thought they would of included it but its a money making thing.
Summary: I love Garmin. I am a little dependent on GPS now, but I do take more of an effort to read the landmarks in case GPS stopped. This GPS is always on my strap of the back pack, ready to tell me all the data I need and has more if I want it. The battery lasts a good 20 hours in the mode I use it.
Summary: Awesome GPS. Only complaint is putting in driving directions is a pain. Great for hiking and motorcycling though. Buy regular GPS for directions. Buy this for outdoor adventures. Great on my motorcycle. Would recommend.
Summary: Purchased the 62st, loaded all my way points, within a short period it froze up and Garmin would not help in the least to unlock it. Apareantly there is a code that is needed, that I did not have and without that code they would not help me. Now it's a $600.00 paper weight.
Summary: I've had a few Garmin GPS over the years and I think they are the best civilian units. This unit has a nice bright color screen. Easy to use. Solid construction and will survive most outdoor trips.
