Summary: I recently picked up a Garmin GPS 60cs to cover several bases, and am still discovering how well it performs. This is my 5th Garmin GPS unit, and this one covers the almost all the functions of the units I've owned previously. My original intent was to use this as basic instrumentation for my dirt / dual-sport bike. The screen can easily be set up to display speed, odometer and time information (or any combination of factors).
Summary: This is my 3rd Garmin. I had a Garmin etrex which win 7 would not accept with usb to 232 adapter. This gpsmap accepted my new map easily. It was very fast and straight forward. I still have to test it with win xp . I recommend this gps especially for any outdoor activity.
Summary: This is the best GPS I've ever used. It's usually accurate to within several meters, it uses color to differentiate between public and private land, and the elevation contour lines help me take the most efficient route when hiking. Highly recommended.
Summary: Very rugged and easy to use. The GPSMAP 60cs is also very accurate. Garmin as always has a great map set available for what ever or where ever you need to go. The only drawbacks to this unit would have to be that there is no external memory capability, and the screen backlighting could use a very little bit of help. Although if you look at the GPSMAP 60cx or 60csx, The external memory capability is there. The whole 60 series of Garmin GPS are a great investment.
Summary: I purchased the Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx and received the item quickly. When I opened the box, the quick-start manual got me underway. The gps is small, lightweight and has an excellent color screen. I will need to purchase a few maps from the Garmin website for my specific needs, but the basics are there. The tracks feature is really good for marine use. Tracks lets you trace your route from a start to where you go or end up.
Summary: I like that it is in color, this makes it easier to see in the direct sun light. Easy to use and program for trips, especially for a person that does not know a lot about a GPS. You can use the compass or the map page to navigate. It has an altimeter which I like. I also like that it is easy to download maps from my computer. It is a great piece of equipment and I plan to use it hunting this year. I also got a terrific price for all the great things it can do.
Summary: I bought this GPS unit specifically for geocaching. It works flawlessly for this. It has maps, altimeter, and digital compass down to the exact foot to destination. It also has a geocaching feature on the unit so I can keep track of all the geocaches I have found. The USB is also a great feature. I can plug it into my laptop and go to the website and upload my coordinates without having to put them in manually. Some of the older models didn't have this.
Summary: Bought it for Geocaching . Works great. Would recommend it to everyone,I have a Garmin Nuvi in my truck, which saves us time finding the geochace fast (using best roads) then the Garmin cs60 can pin point the cache within 3 meters..
