Summary: First of all, my rating of this device is based upon my experience with this device, only. Compared to today's GPS devices, this is archaeic technology and would rate ZERO STARS in a side-by-side test.

Summary: The GPS-III+ may not be the current top of the line, but it is a great, portable, and functional tool for the back country whether on foot, bike, or jeep. For the geek, its NMEA connector allows PC connection for use with many applications for mapping and tracking.
Summary: I bought this gadget to have cheap and reliable GPS in the car and for hiking. Actually tested a simple and reliable device which does not require delicate handling. Works the same with the European measures. 100% satisfied.
