Summary: Purchased two identical units to replace my Garmin 45. The display went bad after many years of use in my ultralight. Having an extra one gave me insurance of longer time in case of display malfunction. My reason is because I find these units excellent for my application. Being designed for boats, their maximum speed is 99 knots, which is fine for ultralight flying since our speed never reaches that much. Despite been used, both units were fine and working properly.
Summary: This reciever appears to be in excellant condition, but certainly isn't. The display is so faded that it is only barly visible. I seriously considered returning it but did not only because I travel U S, Canada and Mexico and need a GPS like this to tell me the location of the Satelite that I need to pick up the signal for my Satelite TV.
Summary: SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED BUTTONS YOU CANNOT READ ALL WORN OFF, ELECTRICIAL TAPE ON THE ANTENNA. IT WAS NOT WHAT WAS IN PICTURE. HOPE THAT BUYER WILL READ AND OFFER TO EXCHANGE FOR BETTER ONE WAS PURCHASED FOR SON TO USE 1ST YEAR OF DEER HUNTING AND UNABLE TO GIVE HIM. HAVE HAD GREAT LUCK EBAY. HOPE IT CONTNUES.
Summary: It's [bad]. I have one. I wish I'd been given another make or model. Batteries last about 10 minutes, and I'm not talking [bad] batteries here. The data sets loaded into it are a complete waste of time, they'll just about tell you which country you're in.
Summary: My husband has been getting gifts from me for 15 years and finally I got him something he really liked. He has marked several fishing spots with it and everyone he takes fishing with him to these marked spots is very impressed with his GPS. I've used it to go for walks and monitor distance. It is a unique, affordable, and user friendly piece of equipment.
Summary: This is my second GPS unit and by far the best, I do not need the in built map function, in some cases my 4WD club goes where no man has gone before. A great tool for navigating around the sand dunes and scrub in Western Australia. Ideal for my hobby which is 4 Wheel driving going away for weekend just to get lost really. The trac back feature is fantastic. Good in tree cover as well. Overall very impressed.
Summary: After using this unit for the last month I've found it to be very easy to use. I've been using it for highway driving, but since there are no built-in maps this unit is really geared for boaters. However, it is still useful for highway navigation, especially if you enter waypoints in advance. I recently used it for a 600 mile trip by entering my own waypoints and it worked great.
