Summary: gps unit arrived in mint condition but without instructions. I wasn't very happy with this as this in a somewhat complex unit and my life is litterally in it's hands when I use it to go fishing in the fog. Winding up on the rocks would ruin a guy's day.
Summary: All you really need in a GPS for the hills. 50 routes gives more than enough flexibility for when you don't really know where you'll end up. The satellite altitude read-out is plenty accurate enough to give you a quick position on a topo map and who really needs an electronic compass anyway? Coupled with mapping software you can't go wrong. Although it looks big compared to the eTrex, it fits perfectly into the LowePro D-Res 20 pouch, which then has space for 8 AA's.
Pros: 50 routes; large(ish) screen; up to 6 concurrent data readouts; ease of use.
