Summary: This is a great product. Picks up satellites quickly. It has so many features to master I am no where near using the full capabilities of this unit. I use the tracking feature mostly as I hike a lot, by myself, on mountain trails. It is very easy to get disoriented once you lose sight of civilization. With the tacking feature I can keep track of what direction I am going and a track back to where I started. Very comforting. I can also keep track of mileage and elevation.
Summary: This Garmin Map60 has everything you need for hiking, hunting , Geocaching, road navigation and more. It's easy use and hold. The screen is also easily seen. I'm still learning about but very glad I bought it!
Summary: I love this GPS, so much in fact it goes everyplace I do. Bought it for geocaching, now I use it to track my workouts or to give me driving directions. It works better than the Navi I have in my car, I have tested both and the handheld unit beats the car everytime.
Summary: I have enjoyed this product since the day it was put into my hands. My brother has one and he enjoys it very much and its a great help geting places. I use mine a lot to find geo-treasures and getting from point to point. Its been a great help and would recommend it to anyone who is starting out in geocaching.
Summary: This little unit is awsome. Husband and I started geocaching and after reading lots of reviews and getting suggestions from friends we settled on the Garmin 60. It is great. We have had great luck finding caches since we got the unit. It takes us to within a few feet of the hidden cache. Also it has been rained on and dropped several times. It is kind of like a Timex watch, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I would recommend this unit to anyone.
Summary: Great unit. Does everything I need and more. I got a good start on using it with just the quickstart guide. It connects to a PC using the Waypoint software that comes with it and with Googleearth Plus. It takes about 5 seconds to acquire satellites and only lost reception for a second in heavy cover with overcast skies.
