Works out of the box with my iPad ...

Johannes Luijten, Amazon
5 June 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this item for use with my iPad Air. I just got tired of paying the premium each time I wanted GPS with my iPad (Apple: please offer each iPad standard with GPS!). The iPad apps I use (TomTom, Maps, Google Maps, Co-Pilot) recognized this GPS right away and showed realtime my position. Excellent!

As Described

R. Houck, Amazon
5 June 2014
  • Summary: I have used this multiple times with my Ipad to track through some very harsh environments in a vehicle and it works perfectly. The battery lasts the advertised 8 hours and it acquires a signal within a minute or two of starting up. I definitely recommend this product. I have also used the Duel version and see little difference between the two.

works great

mjb, Amazon
26 May 2014
  • Summary: I don't have any problem with the button powering on the Glo when it's in my pack. It hasn't happened to me. I'm guessing they changed something - I have to hold the power button down for about 1 sec before it turns on the Glo. If I tap the power button now the lights blink but it doesn't power on. I use this to get longer battery life on an iPhone when using GPS. I put the iPhone into airplane mode then manually enable bluetooth.

Works wonderfully with Ipads and android phones not with Windows!

Wallendal Supply, Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: I have 3 of the Glo's for Ipads on our farm to scout crops and drop pins in precise locations for crop problems. It works wonderfully with the Ipads we use, however we are making the switch to Windows Surface (we have windows surface pro 2) and Glo doesn't work with a windows interface. I spent about an hour on the phone with Garmin (Great customer service by the way) and they said the Glo wasn't made to work with Windows.

Works Well but it a problem to store

K. Martin, Amazon
19 April 2014
  • Summary: I have experienced the same problem that others have reported in their reviews. The on-off switch takes very little pressure to turn the unit on. A number of times when I wanted to use the unit the battery was dead. Other than the switch problem the unit works very well.

REN JIE WU, Amazon

  • Summary: I brought this to use my Ipad 1 as a navigation tool. The Ipad 1 was using google map and if coordinae with 3G cellular system I can get the traffic information during my drive. Not only maps and naviigation information but also the rush hour information. Then you can divert from traffic jam area and select a nice and smooth road that you want to. This product was totally comply to my desire. The shape of the product was beautiful.

Works well

Geodarts, Amazon
22 February 2014
  • Summary: I got this to give my wifi only tablet gpsr capability. It has worked great for car navigation. It does not add anything to my iPhone's gpsr reception, but it's nice to have the larger screen with the tablet when routing through foreign countries and other areas.
