Summary: Battery life and accuracy are much improved over my old Forerunner 410. Device is easy to see, seems a little lighter and smaller than the old one. Uploading to Garmin Connect is automatic and merged right in with my old data.
Summary: I don't know how I ever ran before without my Garmin! What an incredible device. The autolap feature is incredibly useful. I often change the autolap distance so I can run different length of intervals wherever I want. I also switch back and forth between miles and kilometers when needed. The data you can download onto Garmin Connect is great for a data/running geek like me. The memory of the device is seemingly unlimited, though I'm sure it has its limits.
Summary: I was trying to get by with using my iPhone as my running/cycling computer. But the bulk of carrying the phone - and the poor battery life when being used for GPS location-tracking made this a PITA. This watch works so much better. I use it for running - and I get automatic mile splits, heart-rate and will even help me get home if I get really lost. For cycling, it pairs with my Wahoo Fitness ANT+ speed/cadence sensor and Garmin heart-rate monitor.
Summary: This watch is GREAT. The touchscreen takes a little getting used to as it works with the touch your nail versus fingertip - but that actually helps avoid accidents when checking time, etc. It uploads wirelessly and keeps track of everything - the virtual partner is fun. It is not just geared for the runner - I am an avid walker and use it on every walk I take. Worth every penny!
Summary: I use this for running and am so happy with the purchase. I have not used all the features yet, but all that I have used so far have been perfect. No trouble with charging. Its not super bulky to wear.
Summary: I purchased a Garmin Forerunner 610 to replace a NIke SportWatch GPS that was not meeting my needs. The 610 has many thoughtful features, such as a vibrate feature that will alert you to events such as distance milestones, heart rate alerts, etc. via vibration, in addition to a beep. This is very helpful if you run with music and frequently don't hear those beeps.
Summary: The title may be a bit of an exaggeration, however I don't think I could be much happier with this watch. It does not take long to learn the ins and outs of the watch and it is easy to navigate. Garmin Connect is an amazing tool as well if you like to analyze your runs/bike rides. Be sure when you use the watch to wipe the sweat off of the back after your runs/bike rides! The sweat could build up and disrupt the charging nodes on the back of the watch.
