  • Summary: For years I had been using the Garmin 205 and lately the battery would not hold a charge longer than an hour. I must admit I have become addicted to knowing my pace and distance so I started searching for a replacement (that wouldn't break the bank). This 405CX was the most comparable to my 205 as far as options that I wanted/needed in a watch. In addition it comes with a HRM. I've seen a lot of reviews about the bezel being difficult to use.

  • Summary: This watch replaced an identical watch I had for nearly 2 years before the wrist band broke. This is an amazing watch especially for this price.

  • Summary: I am loving my Garmin 405cx! I have started an interval running program due to the interval training option on the watch. I am very impressed. I have always wanted a Garmin GPS but could never justify spending $200+ on a running watch. This refurbished watch looks brand new with no cosmetic imperfections. The price is unbelievable for this watch. I love it.

  • Summary: my first Garmin, so perhaps i'm partly just excited by the technology. love this watch. had a problem with it before i even used it the first time (button fell off!). sent it back to Garmin and received a replacement quickly. haven't had a problem since. easy to use, easy to download, store and track past runs. highly recommend.

Easy to use right out of the box

K. merritt, Amazon
26 August 2012
  • Summary: I received my watch this past Friday and subsequently used it during a 10K this morning. Right out of the box the battery was 2% so I stuck it on the charger and three hours later I had a full charge. I am unsure how long the charge actually took to reach full, I'll have to explore that later. First, right out of the box was a simple venture. I changed the band right away to the larger velcro band, which was as easy as the Garmin video illustrated.
