Summary: It is a good product but have little space in the display compared to larger models. Is aesthetically beautiful but functionally loses to otros models ugliest garmin. So, if you want a watch to wear every day and run ok, this is the product, but if you want a more professional use in the race chooses another model.
Summary: For years I had been using the Garmin 205 and lately the battery would not hold a charge longer than an hour. I must admit I have become addicted to knowing my pace and distance so I started searching for a replacement (that wouldn't break the bank). This 405CX was the most comparable to my 205 as far as options that I wanted/needed in a watch. In addition it comes with a HRM. I've seen a lot of reviews about the bezel being difficult to use.
Summary: The watch is wonderful! When it works it is exactly what I was looking for and has helped tremendously in my running. It does however tend to be a little flaky. Sometimes seizing up and some times losing a charge suddenly. I have looked online and thought about sending it back but after doing some investigating online it seems these problems are pretty "normal" for this watch and some people have reported much worse problems than mine.
Summary: I really like this watch! I don't exactly know how to use all the features yet so it's frustrating when I accidentally touch the bezel and end up in a program I don't need or want at that moment and can't get back to where I was. I started locking the bezel at start of run until I get more acclimated with it. Then I can just record stop and start information.
Summary: This is an amazing watch. Technically I would give it a 4 1/2 stars, unfortunately that isn't possible, so I give it 4 stars. First of all, this watch does everything. It comes with a very comfortable and accurate heart rate monitor. The watch itself comes with three interchangeable bands depending on what you like. I prefer the more athletic friendly velcro strap.
