The unit uses algorithms developed by exercise scientists and world-class athletes to monitor micro changes in a user’s heart rate and uses that detailed information to calculate the number of calories burned during aerobic activity. The Forerunner 405CX comes with a choice of two additional form-fitting bands to accommodate large and small wrists alike. Weighing at 60 grams, The 405CX is available in a deep blue color. The Forerunner 405CX features technology from Firstbeat Technologies Ltd., which specializes in developing user-centered software solutions for heart beat signal analysis in exercise and sports, weight management, and stress monitoring applications. The Forerunner 405CX tracks speed, distance and location and features patent-pending touch bezel on the face of the watch, making navigating the options easier. Users simply tap, hold or run a finger along the bezel on the Forerunner 405CX to begin a new workout, access their training history or challenge a Virtual Partner™. The 405CX also allows runners to adjust the Virtual Partner’s pace without needing to stop in the middle of a workout.
The Forerunner 405CX is a water-resistant (IPX7), GPS enabled device that can be used outdoors or indoors and comes with an optional, streamlined foot pod allows users to fit the unit on laces or under certain shoes’ insoles. The Forerunner 405CX also features high-sensitivity GPS receiver integrated with HotFix™. This feature allows the 405CX to acquire and sustain satellite reception. The 450CX also comes with an optional speed / cadence bike sensor that helps cyclists monitor their pedaling cadence and wheel speed. With the ANT+ technology, the Forerunner 405CX sends workout data to the user’s PC or Mac via automatic wireless data transfer, eliminating the need to take off the watch or bother with cables as the computer automatically syncs with the Forerunner 405CX once it’s in close proximity. This feature allows runners, joggers, cyclists and hikers to send courses, goals and workouts to their Forerunner 405CX before they begin, and then send back data after the workout is done to the user’s computer. The Forerunner 405CX allows users to log their workouts, track their totals, set goals, share workouts with coaches, friends and family and participate in an online fitness community at Garmin ConnectSM.

The GPS bezel selection only shows a compass, not the menu for turning on or off different GPS features. Any ideas?
