Summary: I bought this to help improve my run times. The main feature I use is the automatic "runner" who paces you at the pace that you set. It makes it easy to look down and see, visually, if I am ahead or behind my "training partner." The reason I gave it 3/5 stars for "Ease of Use" is because it does take a bit of time and effort to get the Ant+ Agent (a USB stick) to work with both your computer AND get it sync'ed with the Garmin website.
Summary: Ordered from "Clever Training" through Amazon. Item arrived quickly in a padded manila envelope. Band was not in original packaging, but is a direct replacement and appears to be the same quality. A trick for putting the bands on is to slide one side of band onto the pin, and then from the TOP SIDE of the band (not underneath), compress the pin with the tool until the band seats onto the pin.
Summary: My first Garmin 405 lasted 4 years and I loved it. Not everyone's a fan of the bezel, but once you get used to it, I found it very easy to use. I was disappointed when it was discounted so I was thrilled to see it on Amazon. What I like about this watch is you can use as many or as few of the features as you want so if you want all the bells and whistles they're there, if you don't, you can use it as a basic GPS.
Summary: This part works well. It is better and more affordable than buying a new watch. It is a little tricky to get the old one off and the new one back on, but a tool is provided. I would recommend that you look into watching a video to give you a better understanding of what to do. It should take about 15 minutes to complete.
