Summary: I'm giving it only one star because I used it to swim today and it flooded! Yeah, that is what you read "flooded"as you can see in the pics below. I'm not angry but very sad with it. Frustrated also, because I live in Brazil and was waiting for it for a while and then when I get it, first time in the water, and I have water inside my watch. Very disappointing. All my friends use Garmin and I only heard good things about it so I changed from Timex to the 310XT. So sad.
Summary: I did research on the Garmin watches and wanted something that could use for running, biking and swimming. After the first and only use, which was in the water, the watched leaked and water got inside the display. Even though it is suppose to be water proof! The water then fried the electronics and the watch won't turn on or charge. I'm so extremely disappointed with the item and feel that this sell ripped me off. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!
... forerunner 310xt works well as far as a GPSwatch for gathering data on my runs getting that data ...

Summary: while the forerunner 310xt works well as far as a GPS watch for gathering data on my runs getting that data on to my computer with the ANT sick is a different story. it is almost a full time job to get the 310xt and the ANT stick to communicate. every time i try to upload data from the 310xt i have to mess with the hardware and/or the software to get it to connect sometimes this takes days. if there were a way to make a hard connection it would help.
Summary: I had the Garmin Forerunner 305 for over seven years. Fantastic, sturdy watch. Loved it! Don't know what happened here with the 310XT?? In less than a month it stopped working and I sent it back. Maybe it was a lemon, but I didnt get a replacement.
Summary: I used this item three times, the last time I turned it on the screen had lines going through it. This makes it very difficult to read. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a fix? I tried resetting it, that didn't work.
Summary: I have had my Forerunner 310XT for two weeks now, and I have been completely unable to upload any of my workouts to the online Garmin Connect system. The whole reason I purchased this product is because I wanted a tool to help me track the workouts I do in preparation for triathlons this summer. Without the ability to upload to Garmin Connect, the whole thing is pointless.
Summary: I bought this about 2 months ago and it sometimes transfers data to my computer, but more often it does not. Either way, I've spent hours trying to get the data to transfer. I had the 305 before this which wasn't wireless but transferred without problem. I don't know what the problem is. I downloaded the ant agent, and garmin express. When I tried to transfer it sometimes says ant agent is blocking express. I disable ant agent and express says it is unavailable.
Summary: I had this for 3 or 4 days and then I returned it. The USB Ant stick did not work easily. I have a 305, which directly plugs into the computer. I have NEVER had any trouble downloading from it. With the 310 and its "not so wonderful" USB Ant stick, the first evening I spent hours installing, uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin software and eventually got it working. The next day I again had trouble. On the third day, still more trouble.
Summary: After using this for two years, the pin holding the wrist strap broke rendering the watch useless. I am going to contact Garmin to see if this can be repaired without paying for a new watch. Something that is used for exercise should be better constructed. I did not use any force in attaching the watch to my wrist. Poor construction. I would not recommend this watch at all.
