Summary: So far so good. The reviews I read before the purchase do not give me much hope past our one year date, but so far it has performed very well. We live in a rural area and the GPS locates us in minutes. The reviews also complained about the charging cable being hard to connect to..... seems simple enough to me but this is my first GPS watch so I have nothing to compare it to to know if it is more difficult or not.
Summary: This has exactly the features I want and not more bells and whistles than I need. Connecting it to my computer allows me to use Garmin Connect to see even more detail such as calories burned, route, and elevation. The only thing that annoys me is that sometimes I have to shut it off and turn it back on in order to get my computer to read that it's connected. I don't have that issue with other devices.
Summary: I paddle, kayak and SUP and this device works for them all. it sometimes, but rarely, has difficulty during the paddle phase of a workout. Great interface with the computer and it does everything that i want and need.
Summary: It woks awesomely, but one time I put it on the charger, it shut down, and I had no idea how to turn it back on. This happens a week after it got to my house, so I was a little angry, but after I preformed the master reset it turned back on and has worked perfectly since then.
Summary: The only reason I dont give this watch I 5-star rating is because sometimes it takes up to a few minutes to locate the satellites... so I'e ended up sitting around a couple of minutes before beginning my run. As long as you are in an open area though it picks them up quickly.
Summary: My wife bought me the FR210 with HRM for Father's day 2012. I've used it nearly daily for 18 months (I'm writing this in January 2014) and have been very pleased. It's not so big as to be unwieldy or unsightly. It's not complex to setup and use for regular runs and rides plus intervals. Mine has been stone cold reliable through temperatures from 35F to 105F, usually in very high humidity (Houston, TX), and occasional rain.
