Reliable and everything experienced runners need

M. Jacobson, Amazon
24 March 2011
  • Summary: The Forerunner 205 watch is my lifeline, whether I'm doing easy runs, long marathon training runs or speedwork. I love it so much, I bought a 2nd watch when I saw a good price on it around the holidays.

So far I love it

T. Otten, Amazon
26 October 2010
  • Summary: I have only had the forerunner for one month, but I have used it on every run and I love it. It has never dropped reception, even on my trail runs, and it has been awesome to know exactly how far I ran and what my pace was.

Great for runners!

customer, Amazon
23 October 2010
  • Summary: Bought the 205 for my husband who wants to know how far and how fast he runs. He loves it. Easy to use right out of the box (just have to charge for 10 hours first). I've got the 305 and it's awesome too. It has options for swimming and cycling too. Would definitely recommend the product.

Great Way To Track Your Runs And Calories!

Dennis Meek, Amazon
14 May 2010
  • Summary: I started out running with the Nike Plus fitness chip and my iPod but as I increased my distance I found that the mileage was off no matter how often I calibrated the chip so I invested in the Garmin 205. So why the 205 vs. 305 or 405.

How did I ever run without one?

Alan D. Friedman, Amazon
14 April 2010
  • Summary: I can't be accused of rushing into technology. I had been a runner for over 25 years without even bothering with a running watch. I would answer (rather over-optimistically, as it turns out) questions as to my running pace and distance with guesses. Still, I wanted to really know: how far did I run?

Couldn't ask for more!!!

Michael Bodner, Amazon
10 February 2010
  • Summary: I have a 305 and bought the 205 for my girlfriend. They are identical with the 205 just missing the Heart Rate monitor. I had no use for the Heart Rate monitor so the 205 would have been perfect for me, but the price on the 305 was cheaper (sale at the time) than the 205. Anyway...

2 words: GOOGLE EARTH! Much better than 101/201/405 & Polar...

Y. R. Wu "The will to win is nothing without the will to prepare - Juma Ikangaa", Amazon
27 May 2009
  • Summary: I bought the 201 when it first came out. It was head and shoulders above the Timex product with the remote arm pod and I would have rated it 5 stars back then because it was the best of it's kind. I even used it to go geocaching.

Must-have product for runners, cyclists, triathletes of all ability levels

skoobagirl, Amazon
6 November 2008
  • Summary: What a great device this is! The owner of my local running shop recommended it as a way for me to really pinpoint my pace and distance on my daily running workouts. It does all this and more -- I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do!
