Summary: I love my Garmin! I've had it for six years and bought it through Amazon. Works like a champ and does everything I need it to do. At first it felt a little large, but I quickly got used to it. This model doesn't have a heart-rate monitor, but I'm o.k. with it. I do have an iphone app (runkeeper), which works well for short runs because it keeps my distance and pace, but drains my phone battery. I find my Garmin more reliable and it stays charged for a really long time...
Summary: I got this for my daughter. She is a runner for Cross Country at her high school. She loves it! It works well! It takes a couple of minutes to find the signal, but that is usually when she is warming up, so 2 minutes is no big deal. Thanks Amazon!!!
Summary: Very well satisfied. It is indeed a little big and I tend to have small wrists but I still needed to put the longer band on. The smaller band only gave me about two holes to play with. The longer band about six holes. Seems to be fairly accurate. I ride the same trail without a lot of variation. There seems to be about a .07 variation which is not bad for a 13+ mile trek. I have three bikes and all have computers, wireless and wired.
Summary: I have had my Garmin Forerunner 205 for 18 months and it has exceeded my expectations. The amount of running metrics you can track is unreal. And talk about the battery lasting a long time before needing a recharge, my first Marathon was completed in 5:49 and I still had plenty of juice left in the watch. Also get familiar with Garmin Connect web site, that site can show you information that you did not existed.
