Love it, but some serious caveats.

David Cober, Amazon
5 July 2014
  • Summary: Like so many things in my life, this watch is perfect for me, but I don't know if I could recommend it for anyone else. I was looking for a watch that could do a few things. Primarily I was interested in a training watch that synced up with a heart rate sensor, but also I was interested in something...

Woah

Patrick Christopherson, Amazon
13 July 2013
  • Summary: This is a super technical watch, and for someone like me who isn't all that technical, it's a bit much. However, I've been able to "fake it"; and set the watch to work how I want it. It's a big watch, and kinda heavy, but, it's not bothersome. It would make a great everyday watch.

Almost Perfect

Gavin, Amazon
12 July 2013
  • Summary: Still a few firmware bugs, will sometimes hang while tracking and routing at the same time. But the features on this thing are great. If Garmin can just fix a few firmware bugs and add blue tooth support for more than just the IPod this would be the perfect device for runner, cyclist and adventurer.

Excellent for Hiking, Navigation, Ultra Running

Michael Mullins, Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: When my old (about 6 years) Forerunner started to let in water under the screen, it was time to change. I wanted something with a long battery life for ultra runs and also needed good Navigation features for trail running. The product review & comparison by DC Rainmaker helped with my decision.

Charles Andrews, Amazon

  • Summary: The replacement you folks sent appears to be working. Haven't used all the features, as yet, but what I have tried seems to work. Once you get familiar with the switch functions it gets easier.

Great device for off road sports

kakisko, Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: Very precise. It gives you all data you need when doing sports in the wild. Good for trail running / cycling / hiking. It can also be used for city running, though it may not be so complete as an specially dedicated watch like top Forerunner devices. Good construction quality.

Great Watch, Garmin Customer Service Not So Great

Ryan Grattan, Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: Watch (Great): I've been researching this watch and the Suunto Ambit heavily. Garmin won in the end because it had the features I needed the most and was $100 cheaper. I've now put the watch to use for 2 months and am very, very happy with it.

Amazing battery life, quality

martin van doren, Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this watch to replace my Garmin Forerunner 205, and so far I'm happy with it. I will warn anyone coming from a Forerunner that there is a very steep learning curve, but once you customize the device(you can customize the heck out of this thing), you will appreciate the flexibility that it...

Could be a 5 star watch, but...

Alexandru B., Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: After more than a year, I still like it and don't regret buying it but there are some glitches that are or were annoying: 1. It's a watch - should show time and do it well… it turns out that: - when I bought it, I was in US and added alternate timezones for home and UTC - it showed correct time on...
