Previous questions about this product

  • Basic user information?

I received the Garmin eTrx Venture HC as a gift. I enjoy hiking and cross-country skiing. This device SHOULD be useful to me but I cannot find any sources to give me the most basic understanding of how to use it. How and why do you use waypoints? What is geocaching and how do you do it? How can I do something as simple as make a track of a hike I want to do. I am not an idiot, but Garmin has assumed I already understand these functions. where can I find a simple explanation of the functions and uses of this device?
