Summary: Simple user friendly device. Won't be confused with high end device, but most don't need those features. Need to navigate to a point? Need to be able to get back to camp? Need intuitive operation? This device might be the one for you.
Summary: This unit is packed with features but does require some learning time. It does not come with maps, which cost an additional $100, and without a memory card, only limited areas of a map can be loaded. If you end up outside of your planned destination, you could be without a map! For some hikers, a $5 phone app may be sufficient.

Summary: Bought this thinking it would be helpful for hiking and driving, it turns out that the maps are not very detailed and if you want to use this for travel you have to buy additional maps right out the box. It looks cool, but its not very user friendly, it now sits in a box, My cell phone navigation is much more effective.
Summary: Got this as a replacement for an older Garmin GEKO (which died last year). Greatly appreciate that they upgraded the things which needed upgrading - better battery life (now uses 2 - AA instead of those useless AAA), better sensitivity, and better screen. Very pleased with this unit, though it does take a learning curve to use effectively. Use it primarily for hiking statistics (time/distance/altitude/avg speed). Also got the bike handlebar mount, which works well.
