Great for back in the day when these were needed more.

Summary: Does great work, but compared to an I-Phone or the newer models, this seems like an Atari. I used it successfully many times, and it works as described. Downloaded additional state park maps and that helped a lot. This GPS did save my life in Bear Island in the Florida Everglades. Got stuck in a swamp with sun setting and no direction, due to wrong info from the guide.
Summary: I haven't really gotten to use it much but I will say that it is an amazing value! I plan on using it during this coming hunting season on big tracts or public land that I am unfamiliar with and I think this will do just the trick!
Summary: This is a great GPS unit. I bought it for learning my way around a big lake at night. With the use of this within one year I didn't need it anymore (for the lake anyway). My wife bought me the nt city navigator to use it when we take trips and it worked very well. I have since upgraded to an unit made for the automobile but this one is great and I still use it in the woods and on the lake and even in the ocean to mark fishing "holes". Highly recommend!!
Summary: This is a fantastic Gps unit. I have used it in the field for quite some time. It is very accurate. It will lose signal when walking or driving through thick forest. Other than that it works fine. This is the second Gps unit I buy from Garmin. I would recommend it without hesitation.
Summary: Too bad it's not made any more, but it's successor is no slouch, I bet. I paid $118 and I'm very happy. Does Geo-caching, is extremely accurate (5-10'), has great battery life, can double as a GPS for a car on trips, has a slot for a memory module for maps, and so forth. The only problems I have with it is that it's a little slow to find satellites and to find a route, but for the price, it can't be beat.
Summary: This is small but surprisingly heavy for the size. I mean it isn't overwhelming, but just solid. Mfr date is 2005/2006, I think. You want this version or one with a microsd, that is great to load maps. You can get 2 free interface software from Garmin. I will use this for hunting and hiking and I am very confident with it now. Only downside is satellites can rarely get found inside a building. Outside sat aquisition time is about 1-2min.
