Summary: I haven't really gotten to use it much but I will say that it is an amazing value! I plan on using it during this coming hunting season on big tracts or public land that I am unfamiliar with and I think this will do just the trick!
Summary: This is small but surprisingly heavy for the size. I mean it isn't overwhelming, but just solid. Mfr date is 2005/2006, I think. You want this version or one with a microsd, that is great to load maps. You can get 2 free interface software from Garmin. I will use this for hunting and hiking and I am very confident with it now. Only downside is satellites can rarely get found inside a building. Outside sat aquisition time is about 1-2min.
Summary: This Item is great for camping, Great on my bike and also caching. IT also can be unlocked with more mapping water maps, over the road maps, and also TOPO maps because of it's expandable memory with S.D. micro cards the posibilitys are almost endless. The only thing that would make it better is, if it talked not just beeped at turns and your destination.
Summary: I wanted topo maps to hike with so I got the Cx. It has everything needed for hiking plus. I could even get satilite reception inside my barn and top floor of my house! I can't imagine the hcx's sensitivity because the Cx is very sensitive, more than I thought it would be. The features are almost endless. I think it may be one of the best buys I've made but I hate where they have the toggle stick-top left of the face, so much for one handed operation.
