Summary: Mine is going back. The compass doesn't rotate, and I have yet to figure out how to get a straight line to a waypoint. Regardless of what I select, the pointer stays in one place. So if I rotate the screen ahead to go to a waypoint, it shows the course as 170 degrees off.
Summary: Bought for my husband who has been using a gps for years. He needed a more up to date model and hence this purchase. However he found the instructions for set up and use of this instrument are totally inadequate and he has given up trying to figure out how to use it. I am returning it.
Summary: If you are not tech savvy and are new to GPS you are in for hours of frustration when trying to get this thing to work effectively, the Garmin documentation sets a new low in confusion and despair. Google it and you will see the web is full of frustrated owners.
Summary: The display is nothing like that shown in the images online, think cheap old LCD watch grey. Hard to read as well, as the contrast is poor. It's not even the nice yellow either, more of a mustard colour.
Summary: Nicely presented and packaged item. End of! The Quick 'set up booklet' was totally useless and the 'on-line' booklet very wordy, but not a lot of use. Maybe had I have had a university degree in the technology it could have helped. Maybe when I get lost whilst out walking it may sort itself out!.
Summary: Oh dear! 1. The user manual is very poor. 2. The cycling between screens is very confusing due to lack of titles. 3. Insert? Insert to where and why. NOT covered in the user manual supplied or on-line. 4. Select button often has no effect. I have to cycle to another option, then back and re-select.
